Indie Rocker Conor Oberst Has Been Forced To Cancel His Remaining Desaparecidos Tour Dates After Falling Ill In Florida.
The former Bright Eyes singer/songwriter was hospitalised on Tuesday (27Oct15) while preparing for a show in Jacksonville, and it appears his symptoms are serious.
A statement from the band reads, "Desaparecidos has been forced to cancel the remainder of their U.S. tour dates. Conor Oberst fell ill whilst on tour in Jacksonville, Florida and was briefly hospitalized due to laryngitis, anxiety, and exhaustion.
"In consultation with his doctors, the band has reluctantly agreed to cancel all scheduled live dates. Conor will be heading home to Omaha to recuperate. We wish him a speedy recovery."
As a result of his illness, Oberst and his punk band have scrapped a total of 19 shows, including tour stops in New Orleans, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
