'Boom Clap' singer Charli XCX is teaming up with online fashion giant boohoo to release her own fashion line.
Charli XCX is teaming up with boohoo to release a clothing line.
The 'Boom Clap' hitmaker made the announcement on Instagram last night (20.08.15) with a poster of her name emblazoned over the online fashion brand's familiar LED heart.
The excited singer captioned the image by writing: ''THE CHARLI XCX COLLECTION IS COMING ANGELS!!! #charlixcx4boohoo (sic).''
Although she didn't reveal any clues about what the line will feature, she has previously said she is inspired by the ''worst-dressed'' pages of fashion magazines.
She confessed: ''I was always more interested in the 'worst dressed' pages and extreme rock 'n' roll makeup rather than what was 'good' technically.
''I do what I feel. It's nice to have one look that you love and is classic and simple, but also to experiment sometimes and go wild.''
The 23-year-old star has cultivated an eclectic style inspired by 90s fashion and insisted she just ''does what she feels'' when it comes to her personal style.
She said: ''I remember going to a school disco dressed all in purple - purple flares, purple halter-neck top, purple sandals - and then covering my eyes in purple eye-shadow and purple glitter, so I was all matchy-match. It was great.''
And Charli added she loves the way fashion and cosmetics have the power to alter her mood and increase her confidence.
She said: ''Makeup definitely has the ability to transform. And fragrance, too. When I put perfume on I immediately feel 10 times more sassy.
''As for beauty icons, Britney (Spears) in the 1990s was great, so fresh faced. Also Angelina Jolie at that time had incredible make-up. For stage looks I go to Siouxsie Sioux - her eye-make-up is wild.''
