Rocker Phil Collins Has Been Forced To Delay The Release Of His Remastered Solo Albums As Her Recovers From Emergency Back Surgery.
The former Genesis star pulled out of an appearance at a charity dinner in New York City on 6 October (15) after alerting fans at the event to his operation days before.
In a video message taped for the gala, he said, "I'm supposed to be with you tonight, but (my doctor) Dr. Green had other ideas. I've had back surgery the last week and I'm literally just recovering. I'm stuck here in a Miami hospital."
And now he has postponed the release of his Take a Look at Me Now reissue campaign, which was originally scheduled to begin on 6 November (15) with new editions of his Face Value and Both Sides albums so he can fully recover for the "extensive promotion campaign and other creative obligations".
"I am so disappointed to have to delay the release," A statement from Collins reads, "but am looking forward to being able to properly get behind this release in the new year when I can move again!"
Collins has been battling severe back pain for years, and nerve damage has left him unable to play the drums for the duration of a concert.
