Sir Paul McCartney has resurrected his Frog Song to turn One Direction into frogs.

The Beatles star has joined a host of celebrities - including Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue and Rod Stewart - to release children's book, 'The Curious Tale of Fi-Rex,' in aid of the Children in Need charity.

Niall Horan said: ''Children In Need is such an amazing charity, so we were really happy to get involved in this book. We hope our fans enjoy reading about our adventures as a band of frogs called Pond Direction.''

Whilst songstress Kylie added: ''I loved the idea of being part of this children's book and I hope it raises awareness and funds for a very worthy cause.''

Fans of the likes of Take That, Ronan Keating and Tom Daley will also have the chance to bid on the original individual pages from the book, written and hand-signed by the celebrity.

Holly Millbank, MD of publishing company Fat Fox Books added: ''To have the likes of Sir Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, One Direction and Andy Murray, to name a few, involved in this project is incredible and is testament to the BBC Children in Need appeal and the great work this charity does.

''We hope that fans will show their support by buying a copy of the book - a great keepsake for both adults and children alike.''
