When Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid asked Courteney Cox to marry him back in June, very close FRIENDS and family were on hand to witness the special moment, which took place at her daughter Coco's birthday party.

On Monday night (Sept 22nd), Cox appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' and recalled the romantic moment when the British musician popped the big question at the birthday bash, which just happened to be hosted by her former 'Friends' co-star, and BFF, Jennifer Aniston.

The 'Cougar Town' actress first revealed to the talk show host that McDaid secretly asked her 10 year-old daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband David Arguette, permission to ask her mommy to marry him. "He gave her a little diamond ring and got on his knee," Cox said. "And she said, 'Great! I'm going to camp tomorrow. Let's do it right now!'"

So the decision was made that the proposal was going to go down at a dinner party Aniston was hosting to celebrate Coco's birthday. "They made a plan to count down from three, and when they got to one, he was gonna get down on his knee and say, 'Will you marry me?' and she was gonna say, 'Will you marry him?'" she recalled. "They planned it out, they found the perfect tree, with three branches that led to one trunk -- it was just beautiful."

However, the eager birthday girl couldn't take the suspense as she kept shouting out "Three!" during dinner, Cox said while laughing. "She kept jumping the gun!"
