The new series, on which Cox will also take an executive production role, is to get a pilot episode in early 2017.
Former ‘Friends’ star Courteney Cox is to follow in the footsteps of her colleague Matt LeBlanc and feature in a new British comedy series, reportedly set for a pilot episode early next year.
The 51 year old has reportedly signed up for a project for ITV called ‘Truthing’, according to Deadline and the Radio Times, and is also due to take up an executive production role in the show which will produce its pilot episode in early 2017. It will also be made by the same production company behind comedy-drama favourite ‘Cold Feet’.

Cox, who will always be best known for her ten-year role as Monica Geller in the hit U.S. sitcom ‘Friends’, will play the founder and leader of a holistic healing retreat named Clear-Path Institute.
The Sun reported that ITV beat a number of other broadcasters to land ‘Truthing’. "ITV are at the very early stages of developing the show. “They are looking at the script first to make decisions but it’s bound to become a series,” a source told them. “They are all very excited at the prospect of working with Courteney.”
Currently, two former ‘Friends’ alums are in Britain working on individual projects. Matt LeBlanc, who revived his career with BBC sitcom ‘Episodes’, is filming the new series of ‘Top Gear’, while Matthew Perry is starring in his self-written West End play ‘The End of Longing’.
Johnny McDaid and Courteney Cox, who have now reportedly got re-engaged
Meanwhile, Cox is now reportedly back together again with Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid, to whom she was engaged for 18 months but split from in December last year. According to Life & Style Weekly, they are once again engaged and are planning their wedding after a number of months apart, reuniting in March.
“Courteney and Johnny are planning a fall wedding,” a mutual friend told the publication. “They just took a trip to London to meet with their wedding planner.”
Reportedly, the cause of the split four months ago was down to 39 year old McDaid’s homesickness and Cox’s unwillingness to re-locate from Los Angeles with her 11 year old daughter Coco, from her previous marriage to David Arquette.
