When she set up her umpteenth Twitter profile and decided to make this one private, Courtney Love was probably hoping that the media wouldn't catch wind of the lengthy rants that have characterised her online activity for some time now. Yesterday though, Gawker caught wind of the message that she had posted, accusing Dave Grohl not only of possibly getting close with her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain but also accused him of being 'sexually obsessed' with her late husband (and Grohl's Nirvana bandmate) Kurt Cobain.
Courtney's theory went so far as to explain that Grohl's Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins resembles Kurt, thus taking the "submissive drummer position" in the band. She went on to relay how she had heard from a third party that Grohl had "his hands all over" Frances Bean in the back of a car. Dave Grohl has responded to her Twitter postings, releasing a statement that says "unfortunately Courtney is on another hateful Twitter rant. These new accusations are upsetting, offensive and absolutely untrue."
Courtney Love is estranged from her daughter, who is now 19 years old. Courtney lost custody of her daughter a number of times throughout her childhood and teens as she struggled with well-documented drug dependency problems. Frances' father, Kurt Cobain, was the lead singer of the grunge rock group Nirvana. He committed suicide, aged 27, before Frances' second birthday. Frances filed a restraining order against her mother in 2009. They are not thought to have reconciled, to date.
