Heavy rockers Cradle Of Filth have been banned from performing in China.

Dani Filth and his bandmates have been forced to relocate an upcoming show in Shanghai after learning they're not welcome on the mainland.

A statement from the group reads: "Unfortunately, at this time, the cultural section of the Chinese government have decided that Cradle of Filth are unsuitable to play in mainland China and so we are currently banned from playing there.

"Therefore, the show on Tuesday 30 April in Shang Hai (sic), China at MAO Live House has had to be moved to Hong Kong. The new venue is Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (Kitec) in Hong Kong on April 30th. Hope to see you there!"

No official reason was given for the ban.
