Cristiano Ronaldo Colour Splash Photoshoot For New SS16 CR7 Underwear Collection

Cristiano Ronaldo - Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates the launch of his fifth CR7 Underwear collection by releasing bold new campaign, Colour Splash, which sees colour pigments splashed across the blank canvas of his iconic physique, reflecting the message that your body is a canvas that can be transformed with colour and bold fashion choices. Ronaldo says, "The campaign was inspired by the way we design the collection. The trunk is my favourite style. Each season we start with a plain white trunk as a blank canvas and then add the colour and design elements from there, as I feel like a splash of colour is really important to create a bold and stylish look. I wanted to bring this process to life with the campaign, so we used my body as the blank canvas! It was a lot of fun and a totally new experience for me." On why colour is such an important part of the collection, Ronaldo says, "Colour can be powerful in inspiring people to come alive and express themselves, and clothing and fashion is a great way to do this. Personally, I am inspired by the vibrant colours of my home country of Madeira, by the many colours I see when I look out to a stadium full of supporters and I prefer to wear colourful clothes as they put me in a great, positive mood. I wanted both the SS16 collection and the campaign to reflect this. Our bodies are a blank canvas and underwear is the first thing we put on, so why not start the day well and add a splash of colour to your life! On shooting the campaign he comments, "It was really fun and it was good to be taken out of my comfort zone. I do a lot of shoots but this really was something that I've never done before and I didn't know what to expect! At first I was nervous - it's not every day that you have people throwing coloured pigments at you- but after five minutes I felt completely at home!
