Daisy Lowe didn't want to start acting until she bought a house.

The 25-year-old beauty always knew she wanted to be an actress but vowed to continue with her modelling career until she had made enough money to be comfortable.

She said: ''I've kind of always felt that modelling was like training for acting. I was always in school plays and always wanted to do it.

''I made a promise to myself that I would buy my first home and then do some acting training and that's exactly what I did. Then I got the part in 'Confine', which was really cool.''

The brunette star is also on the hunt for a holiday home abroad and her other hopes for the future are to start a family and feel more confident in herself.

Asked where she sees herself in five years time, she told Britain's HELLO! magazine: ''How old am I going to be? 30? I hope I'd have bought a house abroad, I hope I would have managed to see more of the world, hopefully be more comfortable in my own skin, still doing what I'm doing.

''I want a family one day, but I don't know if I'll have made one by then.''
