After her massive success in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley has signed on for what she’ll be hoping is another blockbuster franchise. Variety reports that the 24-year-old will star in the first film adaptation Patrick Ness’ Chaos Walking series, which focuses on a dystopian world where people can hear each other's thoughts.

The film will be produced by Lionsgate and is scheduled to star production next year. Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman will be helming the film and Jamie Linden and Allison Shearmur have penned the most recent script.

The first book in Ness’ trilogy, Chaos Walking: The Knife of Never Letting Go, was published in 2008. It is set in a dystopian world where all living creatures can hear each other’s thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds named Noise.

It centers on a young boy named Todd who is only boy in a town of men. But after discovering a shocking secret he flees his home of Prentisstown with his dog, as the townspeople pursue him. During their journey the duo stumble upon strange, silent girl named Viola and they embark on a journey where Todd must forget everything he knows to find out who he really is.

Ridley has been pretty busy recently, having just finished filming Star Wars: Episode VIII, due for release next December. She has also just signed on for thriller Kolma, which will be produced by The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams and The Lost Wife from producer Robbie Brenner.
