Whitey Bulger has had the FBI under his thumb for too long, and now people are starting to notice. How can a criminal mastermind responsible for every major offence in the city pass by seemingly unnoticed for an entire lifetime? It's true he landed in Alcatrez at a young age, but the older the more dangerous he becomes; a kingpin of the South Boston criminal underworld who escaped justice by informing authorities of all movements of the rival gang, the Italian Mafia, as suggested by his most useful contact and friend John Connolly. But the Irish Winter Hill Gang is growing ever more powerful, and Bulger's feelings of invincibility lead to more and more murders and destruction. It's time he was stopped, but finding him is not going to be easy.

Irish-American criminal mastermind Whitey Bulger was arguably one of the most dangerous men in America before his arrest in 2011 at the age of 81. He'd already spent time in Alcatrez as a much younger man, having spent a lot of time on the streets of South Boston. However, by the 70s he proved to be the FBI's best tool in controlling organised crime within the country, and he was eventually persuaded by his friend John Connolly to be their informant in all workings of the rival Italian Mafia. However, it's not safe business being both a highly respected gangster and a police informant, and while much of his activity is being largely ignored as he rises to become top of the Irish Winter Hill Gang, it seems he is gaining too many killings and dodgy dealings under his belt to go unnoticed.

E.L. James invited the Twitterverse to ask her anything on Monday and you can probably guess how this one turned out.
Yesterday Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James took part in a Twitter Q&A session that managed to go downhill so fast, it made Robin Thicke’s experience last year look like a total love-in. Sitting in Twitter’s UK headquarters, the author invited fans (and everyone else) to ask her anything, using the hashtag AskELJames.
Author E.L. James has taken part in a twitter Q &A.
But the Q &A session quickly descended in to chaos as the hashtag was taken over by users who weren’t exactly interested in asking the author about her creative process. Some took the chance to call out the author on her writing skills, with one user tweeting, ‘No question: Just, as a fellow author, thank you for proving to me that you can get anything published, no matter how awful.’

At the stroke of midnight, ‘Grey’ hits bookshelves and fans can’t wait.
Fifty Shades of Grey fans might need some help restraining themselves tonight, as E.L. James’ latest book Grey hits shelves at midnight. The spin-off book is a retelling of Christian and Anastasia Steele’s early story, but this time we're hearing it from the point of view of Mr. Grey himself.
Get ready to hear the story of Fifty Shades of Grey from Christian’s perspective.
"The book is written from Christian's point of view, need I say more?” Paul Bogaards, a spokesman for publisher Penguin Random House told the New York Daily News. Bogaards added that he had ‘no concerns’ over wether retelling the story from Christian’s perspective might prove to be too raunchy even for Fifty Shades fans.

A copy of the eagerly awaited new Fifty Shades of Grey book by E.L. James has been stolen, a little over a week before its scheduled publication date.
Publishers Random House discovered on Monday (June 8th) that one copy of the new book, entitled Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey As Told by Christian, had gone missing from its warehouse. Kent Police has launched an investigation into the incident, as it is feared that thieves may leak the novel or sell extracts to the media.

Rasuk, who played Anastasia's friend Jose Rodriguez in the first movie, is hopeful of being asked to play his role again in the sequels even though Sam Taylor-Johnson won't be directing them.
Fifty Shades of Grey cast member Victor Rasuk thinks it will “suck” that Sam Taylor-Johnson is not staying on to direct the sequels, but is nevertheless “excited” that somebody new is coming to take over behind the camera.
In the run-up to its release, a number of stories emerged from the set of disagreements between Taylor-Johnson and the book’s author E.L. James over the direction of the movie, and it was reported soon afterwards she would not return to direct the follow-ups despite the lucrative gains to be had.

Matthias Schoenaerts has released three period films this year, and been in an Oscar-nominated movie - is he finally accepted as a leading man?
This week's release of 'Far From the Madding Crowd' is the third period film this year with Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts in the romantic leading-man role. Before starring opposite Carey Mulligan in the 1870s, he wooed Michelle Williams in the 1930s in 'Suite Francaise' and Kate Winslet in the 17th century in 'A Little Chaos'. For an actor who got his start in the Oscar-nominated 'Bullhead', then played a street fighter in 'Rust & Bone', these costume dramas must feel like a big change of pace.

There's also the fact that his character in 'Far From the Madding Crowd' is a sheep farmer, so there was a lot to learn. "I had to go to boot camp," he laughs. "Shaving, washing, everything, just so I can pretend, make it look like I know what I'm doing."

The controversial film has already been banned in Indonesia, Malaysia and Kenya, and a refusal was also expected from the mainly conservative India.
Despite conquering box offices wherever it goes, it seems that Indian fans of E.L. James’ erotic novel won’t get the chance to enjoy the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey after the country’s government censors banned it.
According a report by Reuters, India’s Central Board of Film Certification decided that the film was unsuitable for theatrical release in the largely conservative country, a verdict that most onlookers had anticipated.
The Board’s chief executive Shravan Kumar has not stated the precise reasons why they have taken the decision to prevent the film from being screened, but said the distributor Universal Pictures would be allowed to appeal.

It was probably inevitable, but a couple have been caught having sex during a Fifty Shades of Grey themed event which was being held at an erotic museum in Las Vegas on Valentines Day. The internet is divided over SNL's Isis sketch.
Despite her racy Fifty Shades of Grey role, Dakota Johnson isn't really known for being particularly controversial. Saturday Night Live on the other hand, has never shied away from the more controversial topics like, say, ISIS. On Saturday, the show aired a pre-filmed sketch with Johnson, which used the extremist faction as a punch line.
Dakota Johnson stirred yet more controversy on SNL this weekend.
The story was pretty familiar - a proud dad (Taran Killam) drops off his Army-bound daughter (Johnson). They say their goodbyes, it's all appropriately soppy and emotional, etc. Then Killam as the dad looks up at the sound of a car horn and tells Johnson: "Your ride is here."

Despite a huge dive in attendance numbers, the much talked-about movie stays at the top of the box offices for a second week.
Erotic blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey held on to its spot at the top of the box office, despite seeing a massive drop in ticket sales. Receipts of $23.3 million were reported by the L.A. Times, down a whopping 73% from its first weekend.
A decline was of course expected, but the figure is at least 30% less than most projections for its second weekend. When it opened in time for the extended Valentine’s Day and Presidents Day weekend last Friday (February 13th), it took a mammoth $94.4 million.

With Sam Taylor-Johnson reportedly wanting out of directing the upcoming sequels, is author E.L. James set to write the screenplays?
Fifty Shades of Grey might be continuing its domination of the box office this weekend, but it seems that announcing the film’s sequels has become a much trickier business for studio Universal.
Sam Taylor-Johson and E.L. James pose with Fifty Shades of Grey stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson
Earlier this week, The Sun reported that director Sam Taylor-Johnson had pulled out of doing any more Fifty Shades movies, due to her tempestuous relationship with the book's author E.L. James.
