Wayne's World Star Dana Carvey Has Signed On To Front A New Tv Talent Show Geared Towards Mimics And Impressionists.
The comedian and impersonator will serve as a mentor to contestants on competition series First Impression.
"There are so many great impressionists and First Impressions gives them an opportunity to showcase their talents," Carvey tells Variety. "I've always enjoyed watching an impressionist nail somebody - as in capture their voice. Now I get paid to watch."
Bosses at America's USA network have picked up the series, but a premiere date has yet to be announced.
Carvey, a former Saturday Night Live regular, is considered one of America's greatest impressionists. His characters include Johnny Carson, Paul MCCartney and George H.W. Bush.
