Following the Halloween release of 'Horns', it seems like the film might have arrived a little too late to inspire elaborate trick-or-treat costume ideas, although star Daniel Radcliffe has his hopes set on next year, and with good reason. "I loved them. I had a great time" he explained, "they were very very quick to put on, they were like twenty minutes".

In a recent interview promoting the movie, Radcliffe explained that two hours is no time at all where prosthetics are concerned. "The big stuff at the end where I had even bigger make-up still only took two hours which is crazy for the amount of stuff they did."

As Daniel Radcliffe continues to experiment with movie genres, he has frequently mentioned that he is happiest about his role in the new thriller 'Horns', directed by maverick filmmaker Alexandre Aja. Following Daniel Radcliffe's recent announcement that he wouldn't mind playing the unpredictable and irrational Iggy Pop in a film, it's interesting to wonder whether Radcliffe could actually pull off the part of the drug-addled rock star.

The comment came from an interview with radio host Eric J Lawrence, in which Radcliffe stated "we've got a similar, gnarly sort of, slightly strange skinny bodies." Perhaps the twenty five year old's star power would be the perfect draw for an Iggy Pop film, as the last time Pop was portrayed on screen was by Foo Fighters drummer, Taylor Hawkins last year. The film, CBGB, received negative reviews, with review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes rating the film only 6%.

Earlier this week he mentioned his desire to play a superhero, but Daniel Radcliffe is keeping his options open. In an interview with U.S. radio host Eric J Lawrence, Radcliffe remarked on the physical similarities between the two, commenting "We've got a similar, gnarly sort of, slightly strange skinny bodies." Pop was portrayed on screen by Foo Fighters' drummer Taylor Hawkins last year in the film CBGB but the film was a commercial and critical flop.

In the subject of music, Daniel spoke of his love for the British indie band, The Libertines, particularly their troubled frontman, Pete Doherty, in an interview with The Daily Mail. "I was obsessed with Pete when I was growing up, absolutely obsessed with The Libertines. And then I saw him a few months back on the train, having a cup of tea." He admitted that the star's outlandish ways had an impact on him. "I did used to worry about him when I was younger. I felt scared for him because of all the drugs and the lifestyle. I didn't say anything to him about it. It's his business. It's his stuff to deal with. Why would he want to hear anything from me?"

According to figures released by the British Board Of Film Classification (BBFC), the Tom Cruise action thriller Jack Reacher was 2013’s most complained about film. Based on a series of novels by British author Jim Grant, the film follows the actions of the protagonist who gives the film its namesake in a quest to solve a series of violent and murky crimes using methods that themselves often delve into law-breaking. Naturally in a contemporary Hollywood action thriller you would expect a continuous torrent of violence, explosions and careless destruction but it seems that a rare example of leniency by a traditionally conservative and uptight BBFC has led to a number of complaints by cinemagoers.

Violence meted out by the film's protagonist, played by Cruise, has drawn criticism from filmgoers.

A total of 26 complaints were received by the classification board which decried the 12A film certificate- meaning children under 12 be accompanied by an adult, as misjudged. The complaints remain, despite the fact that the BBFC revealed it demanded two cuts within the film to achieve the 12A rating. The board’s own website describes these cuts as “a woman being suffocated by a man and a man being hit over the head with a rock.” Yet filmgoers still felt unsettled enough by the remaining violent scenes to lodge 26 formal complaints.

J.K Rowling's Pottermore addition last week, introducing fans to thirty-something Harry Potter and chums, may have been met with clamorous excitement by fans but gave one actor a sinking feeling. Daniel Radcliffe, who made his name as the titular boy wizard, saw Rowling's new chapter as forewarning that he'd need to reprise his fantasy role for another movie.

Apparently Radcliffe's fears were assuaged by the British author, who sent the actor a text reassuring him that she won't be writing any more film featuring Harry, ergo there'll be no more Potter films, probably.
