Radcliffe reckons: get off social media and don't go to movie premieres when you're nothing to do with the film.
The general consensus on Daniel Radcliffe would appear to be thus: landed worldwide fame because he ‘looked’ like Harry Potter; trying to be taken more seriously by seeking out challenging roles. And while any actor would admit to luck playing a factor in their career, that general consensus is becoming widely unfounded.

Apart from the fact that Radcliffe has indeed embarked on a number of more challenging, adult roles, the 23-year-old Fulham-born star needs only to speak to an interviewer to display his maturity of thought. While many celebrities flaunt their activities on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, Radcliffe has decided to stay clear of that.
"I don't have Twitter and I don't have Facebook and I think that makes things a lot easier," he told Sky News. "If you go on Twitter and tell everybody what you're doing moment to moment and then claim you want a private life, no one is going to take that request seriously."
He’s right.
And some similarly famous folks – of all ages – could take heed from the Young Doctor’s Notebook star’s words. According to him, there are a "certain things you can do to make it a lot easier on yourself" as a celebrity.
"If you don't, for instance, go to premieres that aren't for a film you're in, or don't just turn up at other events and stuff like that, then that's going to help to not fuel the interest," he said, rather wisely. Although he may have made a few enemies with that comment - not wise, depending on the enemy.
Asked if he felt fame at such a young age had stripped him of a childhood, Radcliffe replied with now now-customary wry response. "Kids who are abused have their childhoods taken away from them," he said, candidly. "I did have to think where I went more than a lot of my friends and you do get a little frustrated around that age, but ultimately it's childish, petulant."
Radcliffe's show, A Young Doctor's Notebook, returns tonight to Sky One.
