Radcliffe says sitting in a theatre with ‘enthusiastic’ fans would not be the most ‘relaxing’ way to see the show.
Daniel Radcliffe has confirmed he’s not yet seen play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but he would like to in the future. The only problem is, the actor will have to wait until fan hysteria over the play dies down, so he can view it in a more relaxed setting.
Daniel Radcliffe hasn't seen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child yet.
Speaking on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert', Radcliffe said: “I feel like I want to see the show. I am genuinely intrigued and I've heard it's fantastic. But I just feel sitting in an audience of what will for the most of the near future be very enthusiastic Harry Potter fans might be like not a relaxing way to see a show.”

“So not for the time being, but I've heard it's fantastic.” The 26-year-old also sung the praises of actor Jamie Parker, who is playing the grown-up Potter. “He’s a wonderful actor. I'm very happy to see him play me. He can do all the Harry questions now,” Radcliffe said.
Earlier this month Radcliffe also spoke to E! News about his plans to see the play. "It would be a weird one. I could be completely wrong in this, but I feel like if I went to see it that night, there's going to be a lot of Harry Potter fans there in the audience obviously and would that then become a thing?" he said.

"Would it be more about them watching me watch the show or would it take away from the show. I would never want to do anything that would distract or take away from the show. I don't know. I'm busy doing a play here at the moment, but I'm not sure."
