Dannii Minogue will make a welcome return to British TV screens as judge on the next series of 'Britain's Got Talent', as the reality contest undergoes a revamp for 2012. Minogue will be joined by comedian, actor and writer David Walliams on the judging panel, meaning that Amanda Holden will be the only one remaining from last year's competition - and even she will miss the early rounds due to maternity leave, returning for the live shows. It's understood that contracts have already been signed between Minogue and Itv bosses of the show.
With Michael McIntyre leaving and David Hasselhoff sacked after last year's series, new faces were needed quickly and the Australian singer's quality during her time spent on 'X Factor UK' will have undoubtedly been a key factor in the show's decision to take her on board. A source for her told the UK's Sunday Mirror that "Dannii was really disappointed not to be able to return to the UK for this year's X Factor, so she wants to make this work." Meanwhile Itv bosses are delighted with the additions of both the 40 year-old and Walliams to the line-up, enthusing "Everybody is really excited about the new line-up. David was confirmed this week and the producers think it's the best yet. He's a real favourite with the nation and Dannii is hugely popular. It's exciting for her to be coming back."
Filming for the show starts in just a matter of weeks.
