Danny Dyer is an English actor and chairman of the Greenwich Borough football team.
Childhood: Danny Dyer was born in Canning Town, East London. His parents are Antony and Christine Dyer. He landed his first acting role in 'Prime Suspect 3' in 1993 after being scouted by a talent agent at school.
Acting career: Danny Dyer has appeared in several TV roles including 'Cadfael', 'A Touch of Frost', 'Loved Up', 'Thief Takers' and 'Soldier Soldier' in his early years (not to mention a Coca-Cola advert) and the first series of 'Skins' and 'Hotel Babylon' later. He has even turned down a role on soap opera 'EastEnders'. He took his first film role in 'Human Traffic' in 1999 and has since appeared in Mel Smith's 2001 flick 'High Heels and Low Lifes' and has had lead roles in 2000's 'Borstal Boy', 2002's 'Mean Machine', and Nick Love's 'Goodbye Charlie Bright' in 2001, 'The Football Factory' in 2004, 'The Business' in 2005 and 'Outlaw' in 2007. He has also appeared in Christopher Smith's 'Severance' and gang movie 'Adulthood'. His later movie works include roles in 'City Rats' and '7 Lives' in 2008, 'Jack Said' in 2009 plus horror movie 'Doghouse' and vampire flick 'Dead Cert'. Most recently he has starred in the comedy 'Run For Your Wife'. He has also aired his own documentary series 'Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men' which began in 2008. His theatre works include Harold Pinter's 'Celebration' and 'No Man's Land' as well as 'The Homecoming' and he even played punk icon Sid Vicious in 'Kurt and Sid'.
Football: Danny Dyer is an avid West Ham United supporter. He became chairman of Kent League's Greenwich Borough in 2007 after Tamer Hassan, president of the Kent League football club, appointed him. He presented TV documentary series 'The Real Football Factories' and 'The Real Football Factories International' which saw him interviewing football fans and hooligans alike.
Personal life: Danny Dyer lives in Debden, Epping Forest, Essex with his partner Joanne Mas with whom he has two daughters named Dani and Sunnie.
Controversy: He had a stint as an agony uncle in Zoo Magazine in 2010 but raised eyebrows after telling one reader that he'd get over his break up with his girlfriend if he 'cut [his] ex's face, and then no one will want her...' He later claimed he was misquoted.
