British rapper Dappy has vowed to get his career back on track after avoiding jail for his part in a gas station brawl.

The former N-Dubz star was found guilty of assault and affray over a fight at a filling station in Surrey, England, last February (12), leaving him facing a possible prison sentence.

However, he retained his freedom when a judge handed him a six-month suspended sentence on Friday (15Feb13).

The rapper has now vowed to put the courtroom drama behind him and get back to work on his music career.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, he shared a picture of himself in a recording studio, adding, "Not long till (sic) I get back in there!! The next thing I write is gonna (sic) be something you've all Been waiting 4 (sic)... I write all my own (stuff)... I just make sure I have smart people around me 2 (sic) brainstorm with!!!!"
