Rockers Dashboard Confessional are ending a five-year hiatus by hitting the road with Third Eye Blind this summer (15).

Frontman Chris Carrabba and his band will tour new material and old hits on the road throughout June and July.

Announcing the band's return to the spotlight, the singer says, "It's been a while since you've heard anything from Dashboard Confessional, and I thought it might be time to change that. So, what's new with you? Got any big plans this summer? I got a feeling I know what I'll be up to."

The joint tour will begin in Ohio on 29 May (15).
