Dave Bautista, the WWE wrestler turned actor who recently starred in Marvel's mega-movie Guardians of the Galaxy, has reportedly been cast in the 24th James Bond movie as the physically imposing villain outlined in the casting call notes that dropped in August.

The casting team sought a large, physically fit actor aged between 30-45 years old - someone over 6'2" tall and "unusual looking" to play a character named Hinx. The team were open to athletes but ultimately wanted someone memorable and unique. The notes revealed that whoever landed the role would take part in a notable driving sequence as well as several "altercations" with Daniel Craig's James Bond.

Now, the Latino Review - a site known for its accurate casting exclusives - report that Bautista has landed the role of Hinx and will begin filming on December 6, 2014. It effectively ends speculation that 12 Years a Slave actor Chiwetel Ejiofor will play one of 007's villains. Bautista will be joined by the Blue is the Warmest Color actress Lea Seydoux, who is rumored to play a "femme fatale" in the new movie.

Sam Mendes is returning to direct, with Pinewood Studios in England hosting the majority of the filming. Additional work will take place in Austria, Rome and possibly Morocco. Preparations are already underway on a set in the Austrian village of Obertilliac, which is almost certainly for the new Bond movie.

James Bond 24 will hit UK cinemas on October 23, 2015, before making its U.S. bow on November 6, 2015. It will be Craig's penultimate Bond movie, assuming he does not sign a contract extension.
