Dave Grohl has reportedly broken his leg after falling off a stage.

The Foo Fighters frontman sustained the serious injury during the band's performance of 'Under Pressure' at their concert in Gothenburg, Sweden, this evening (12.06.15).

The 46-year-old star even tried to carry on singing after falling into a security run at the side of the stage before lying down on the ground and informing the crowd of his injury.

He said: ''I think I just broke my leg.

''I'm going to go to hospital. I'm going to fix my leg. And then I'm going to come back.

''You have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters - we're going to come back and finish the show.''

An eyewitness has since confirmed to BBC News that the band's remaining members Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shifflet stayed on stage to perform covers until Dave returned in a wheelchair to finish off the set.

It remains unclear whether the rocker has actually broken any bones.

Meanwhile, Foo Fighters are next scheduled to perform at Wembley Stadium next week followed by their set at Glastonbury on June 26.
