Dave Grohl's Sound City Players supergroup wowed fans with a three hour set during a one-off U.K. gig in London on Tuesday (19Feb13).
The Foo Fighters star formed the band with pals Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty and Rick Springfield to help promote his new documentary about the California studio where they all recorded landmark albums and singles.
The band has previously only performed in the U.S. and Grohl's line-up at The Forum in the U.K. capital included Springfield, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist Al Johannes, Unkle's Chris Goss, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen and Lee Ving from punk act Fear.
Grohl previously unveiled his Sound City documentary at the Vue cinema in London's Leicester Square before sitting down with fans for a question and answer session.
