David Arquette

One week after Courteney Cox announced her engagement to Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid, news has surfaced of her ex-husband David Arquette popping the question.

The 42 year-old actor is set to marry his longtime love Christina McLarty.

Arquette proposed to the Entertainment Tonight correspondent at a family meal with their 2-month-old son, Charlie West, and his 9 year-old daughter Coco, whom he shares with Cox, E!News reports.

Summer Romance Or Serious Relationship? Courteney Cox Is Moving On With Cougar Town Co-Star

Courteney Cox David Arquette

Courteney Cox has been doing pretty good since her divorce from husband David Arquette (which was only finalized in May this year) and now appears to have moved on entirely. The actress is dating her onscreen ex husband (funny coincidence there) Brian Van Holt. The pair reportedly met on the set of Cox’s show Cougar Town, according to Us Weekly, who announced the relationship. So would that then be art imitating life, or the other way around?

Cox is moving on.

The relationship was made official (sort of) when Cox and her new beau were spotted dining together at West Hollywood’s Chi Lin. Apparently the two “acted like boyfriend and girlfriend,” the curious onlooker says. The relationship has been going on for a while, but now that David Arquett has gone public with his girlfriend Christina McLarty, the Cougar Town star finally has the green light to reveal her own budding romance.

Courteney Cox Divorce Is Easily The Most Amicable In Celebrity History

Courteney Cox David Arquette Ellen Degeneres

Courteney Cox's divorce from David Arquette is finally complete, two years after the couple decided to end their decade long marriage. "Irreconcilable differences have caused the irremediable breaking of the marriage," say the papers signed by Cox, Arquette and a judge. "The marital status of the parties is terminated."

Friends actress Cox, 48, and movie actor Arquette, 41, announced their separate way back in October 2010 and both filed divorce papers on the same day in June 2012. By all accounts, the couple have behaved admirably through the divorce and it's easily one of the most amicable celebrity breakups of recent times - probably owing to their 8-year-old daughter Coco. The couple remain the tightest of friends, "He's my best friend in the world," the Cougar Town star said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in January. "I love him." The following week, Scream actor Arquette told People magazine, "She's incredible. ... I love her, too, and she's an amazing person, a beautiful person. I don't recommend divorce in general, but he is my best friend and we've both grown and changed, and I think we both appreciate each other more. I hope he does. I do."

Following their split, apparently over Arquette's infidelity, Courteney and Coco regularly turned out to watch the actor during his stint on Dancing with the Stars.

Jessica Biel To Become Mrs Timberlake As She Opts For The Traditional Name-Change

Jessica Biel Justin Timberlake Katy Perry Russell Brand Victoria Beckham David Beckham Courteney Cox David Arquette

Amid all the controversy that has arisen in response to the appalling video allegedly shown at the newly-wed's wedding last week, it's a pleasure to report that Jessica Biel may not be a Biel for that much longer, opting to legally take her husband's name.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel tied the knot last week in a lavish Italian wedding, with celebrations spanning almost an entire week. To further show her love and loyalty to her singer/actor husband, she has chosen to legally change her name to 'Timberlake', though she will still use 'Biel' professionally, probably to avoid any confusion in the future. She thinks she's 'really won the jackpot of names' by taking on Timberlake, reports Today Entertainment. We doubt that Justin offered to change his name to Biel, but he did pen an original song and perform it as she walked down the aisle.

Most actresses choose to keep their name, these days in line with feminism and all that jazz. However there are a select few that have opted to take on their partner's name. Courtney Cox-Arquette chose to double up after marrying David Arquette (although she's returned to just Cox after their divorce), famously Victoria Beckham took on David Beckham's name (her original surname was 'Adam's, Beckham is a great improvement) and Katy Perry made mistake of taking on Brand during her short lived marriage to Russell Brand. We just hope that Jessica will be able to keep Timberlake for the rest of her life, though, given the stats of the above marriage, 2 out of every three marriages fail.

Shortly after celebrating New Year's Eve, Arquette checked into rehab for "alcohol and other issues" in January 2011. After checking out of the facility, he told television host Jay Leno he had successfully completed the '100 day sober milestone'.

3000 Miles To Graceland Review

Bad
Those of you hoping to hear about a clever casino heist picture in the style of Ocean's Eleven are in for a sore disappointment. From this movie's opening frames, featuring dueling CGI-animated scorpions, it's obvious that we're in for some punk-ass director's idea of a snazzy action film.

3000 Miles to Graceland is not the realization of that dream.

The Grey Zone Review

Good

A harrowing, soul-searching account of the Holocaust is presented from a very unique perspective in "The Grey Zone," which is based in part on diaries found buried at Auschwitz and the memoirs of Miklos Nyiszli, a Jew who served as the camp's doctor and aided the abominable Josef Mengele in his experiments on prisoners.

The story tells of a 1944 revolt by the "Sonderkommando," a squad of Jewish internees who chose to serve as wardens of the concentration camp's gas chambers and crematoriums in exchange for a few more months of comparatively privileged life. In exchange for their detestable duties, they got larger quarters, fresh bed linens, good food, cigarettes, and the right to loot the belongings of new arrivals.

The selfishness and cowardice of this choice tortures most of the characters in this film, none more so than Hoffman (David Arquette in a rare dramatic and anguished performance), whom we see early on herding naked throngs into the "showers," promising "The sooner you shower, the sooner you'll be reunited with your families." As the doors are closed, the camera slowly creeps in on Arquette, hearing the gas pipes rattle to life and the screams that come moments later.

Ready To Rumble Review

Bad

David Arquette's escaped-lunitic-on-a-double-espresso style of nitwit comedy is an aquired taste. Or at least I assume it is since I don't find him funny but movie directors continue to cast him and AT&T saw fit to make them their collect-calling spokesman.

He's a one-note Jim Carrey wannabe with a Jerry Lewis IQ and two facial expressions: Half-asleep stoner and vein-popping screaming mimi. He's also a front-runner for Least Convincing Actor Alive, as he frequently seems to be looking desperately toward the camera for approval of over-the-top his antics.

David Arquette is also the star of "Ready To Rumble," a slow-pitch comedy about professional wrestling fans, seemingly made for some niche market of moviegoers that find Pauly Shore pictures too intellectually taxing.

Never Been Kissed Review

Terrible

If I see one more high school movie that uses a Literature class Shakespearelesson as a metaphor for raging hormones and whatever else the screenwriteris trying to put across, I swear I'm going to throttle someone.

But such ridiculously hackneyed plot devices are the leastof the problem with "Never Been Kissed," the most agonizing flickever made by Drew Barrymore, an endearing actress with regrettably badtaste in scripts.
