Despite the promotional materials already out there, including the pictures of the cast in full costume, the director assures fans that all plot twists are intact.
There’s been quite a number of photos and teasers over the last month or so from the set of Suicide Squad that have been endlessly pored over, but director David Ayer has assured fans that they haven’t given anything away and that there’s still surprises to come.
The Warner Bros.-backed movie wrapped up shooting on the streets of Toronto last week, and the 47 year old director took to Twitter to say that the surprises that the film has in store for fans remain intact, and have not been compromised in any way by the large amount of material already in the public arena.

“Well we survived the streets. Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact,” he tweeted.

Suicide Squad, arguably the most anticipated live-action comic book adaptation in years, has a scheduled release date of August 5th, 2016. The full cast list that will depict the team of D.C. universe supervillains, who undertake black ops on behalf of the US government in return for reduced prison sentences, is pretty stunning.
It will feature Will Smith as ‘Deadshot’, Joel Kinnaman as ‘Rick Flagg’, Margot Robbie as ‘Harley Quinn’, Jai Courtney as ‘Captain Boomerang’, Cara Delevingne as ‘Enchantress’, Karen Fukuhara as ‘Katana’, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as ‘Killer Croc’, Jay Hernandez as ‘El Diablo’, Adam Beach as ‘Slipknot’, Viola Davis as ‘Amanda Waller’ and Jared Leto as ‘The Joker’.

Filming is due to continue until September this year. Some of the cast have recently been talking about their experiences on set, including British model Delevingne. Speaking last month, she said “It's f***ing insane!”
“I'm not the biggest fan of superhero films,” she continued. “There are so f**king many. I love the Batmans but some of them I'm not that keen on. I've never been so excited to see a film and I'm actually in it. I wish I could tell you about it at all. The movie is going to be the best thing in the world. The camaraderie on set is insane.”
