The Le Freak hitmaker announced in 2012 he was penning a musical based on his book, Le Freak: An Upside Down Story of Family, Disco, and Destiny, and he has asked various musicians for permission to use their tracks.

Madonna and Daft Punk have already given the go-ahead for their songs to be included, and now Rodgers has revealed Bowie's 1983 chart-topper Let's Dance, which the Chic star produced, is also in the show.

He tells Britain's Daily Star newspaper, "I'm writing my first West End musical based on my book. I've spoken to Bowie and he agreed so I have Let's Dance, all that in there. It's my story, this kid leads all these people through music. So I have Madonna songs in there, I have Get Lucky by Daft Punk, I have everything."

Chic are set to kick off their I'll Be There tour in London on Friday (20Mar15).
