David Cassidy has been ordered to complete 50 hours of community service after he pleaded 'no contest' to a charge of drunk-driving.
DAVID CASSIDY, escaped jail but has been banned from driving for six months and given community service after he pleaded 'no contest' to a charge of drunk driving, reports the UK's Daily Mail.According to the newspaper, The former 'Partridge Family' actor, who was not present in court yesterday (16th February 2011) was pulled over and arrested in St Lucie, Florida, on 3rd November 2010 when his car was spotted weaving across the highway. A video of the 60-year-old failing to complete a roadside test has since begun circulating online. The former 'Patridge Family' star was found to be almost twice over the legal limit after registering a blood alcohol reading of 0.141, the legal Florida limit is 0.08. Officers discovered a half-empty bottle of bourbon under the seat of Cassidy's Mercedes, but the actor was adamant that he had only drunk a single glass of wine.
The 60-year-old was also ordered to pay fines of $500 and is required to attend a DUI 'victim impact panel', where he will meet people affected by drunk driving incidents.
