Former teen idol David Cassidy limits the time he spends on the road after promising his wife and son he'd never tour again.
The veteran singer enjoyed a stellar career in the 1970s after shooting to fame on TV sitcom The Partridge Family and he still performs for fans around the world today.
But he refuses to stay away from his family home in New York for an extended period of time after making a solemn vow to his partner Sue Shifrin and their son Beau.
Cassidy tells Bbc Breakfast, "I'm never going to (retire and) say, 'This is it. This is my last (show).' I will not go on tour - I promised my wife and son no more than two weeks (on the road). (I am) out doing one-nighters. The old body just doesn't want to do more than three or four (gigs) - four is the most I'll do consecutively. You're travelling all day and you're performing at night. You get up and they're repacking your stuff."
