Veteran singer/actor David Cassidy is taking legal action to evict the tenants of his Florida home amid allegations of unpaid rent.

The Partridge Family star and his wife have been leasing their property in Fort Lauderdale to Nick and Anne Economos, but they reportedly stopped paying rent in August (12) and have refused to leave the house ever since.

The Cassidys claim their clients had racked up debts of $10,000 (£6,250) by the end of September (12) and they recently filed an eviction lawsuit in a Florida court in the hope of kicking them out, reports Tmz.com.

It is the latest property trouble Cassidy has encountered - he lost his Fort Lauderdale condominium to finance bosses in July (12) after failing to cover back payments to the bank.
