Singer Melissa Etheridge has revealed that she almost asked Brad Pitt to be a sperm donor for her and former partner Julie Cypher in the late nineties. Speaking on Australia’s Studio 10 talk show, the 54-year-old explained how she nearly approached Pitt before asking singer David Crosby.

“Well, actually, [Brad Pitt] was such a good friend of mine. And we did consider it. And yet, I looked and I saw how badly he wanted children and I thought, ‘I don’t want to share this with someone who really, badly wants children because my children don’t need another parent — they have two,’” Etheridge said.

Official updates concerning the condition of Joni Mitchell, who was hospitalised back in March, have been few and far between. However, fellow musician David Crosby has revealed that, while she is recovering at home, she is unable to speak.

In conversation with HuffPost Live, the 73 year old guitarist answered a Twitter question about Mitchell’s condition. “To my knowledge she is not speaking yet. She is home, she is in care, she is recovering,” he responded. “She took a terrible hit. She had an aneurysm, and nobody found her for a while. And she’s going to have to struggle back from it the way you struggle back from a traumatic brain injury.”

Rock musician David Crosby, of Crosby, Stills and Nash fame, has struck and injured a jogger while driving his Tesla sedan in Santa Ynez, California. Crosby, 73, hit Jose Jimenez while driving 30 miles north west of Santa Barbara on Sunday evening, California Highway Patrol said in a statement.

Crosby was driving at the speed limit of 55 mph when he struck the jogger, who was airlifted to a local hospital with "multiple fractures and cuts." His injuries are not considered life-threatening. Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, though the incident is still under investigation. The musician stopped after the collusion and cooperated fully with authorities.
