Baywatch - Super Bowl Trailer

The Baywatch lifeguard team might be the best known on the planet, but in this new reality, they are really struggling with their brand. Mitch Buchanan (Dwayne Johnson) is facing cuts to his squad from the council, because they're apparently not doing enough to get themselves noticed (not even with C.J. Parker's [Kelly Rohrbach] slow-motion run). The top brass at the Baywatch Headquarters decide to try and up the popularity by employing a new member to the team; the young, super-athletic and recklessly wild Matt Brody (Zac Efron) who all the girls might like but Mitch is struggling to whip into shape. He's not exactly setting the best example for safety with his endless spontaneous stunts, and Mitch likes him even less when all he's wearing is minuscule American flag Speedos. But these guys have to find some common ground and band together when a body washes up on their beach.

Baywatch - Teaser Trailer

Mitch Buchanan is facing a problem with his Baywatch lifeguard brand. The council are making cutbacks and the team just aren't getting themselves noticed enough. In a bid to up their popularity and spread some good press, the boss at Baywatch Headquarters brings in an athletic young man named Matt Brody who appears to have far too much confidence in himself. Meanwhile, Mitch has very little confidence in him; mainly because he's spreading a bad example with his endless stream of reckless stunts in the name of fun. Things get serious when a body is found on the beach, and Mitch want to investigate what has happened himself. However, it seems Matt sees this as a step too far and would much rather leave the matter to the police.

Leonardo DiCaprio Was Almost Cast As David Hasselhoff's Son In 'Baywatch'

Leonardo Dicaprio David Hasselhoff Pamela Anderson Nicole Eggert

‘Baywatch’ producers Michael Berk and Douglas Schwartz have revealed that Oscar winner Leonardo Dicaprio was nearly cast in the show as David Hasselhoff’s son. DiCaprio’s career path might have looked very different if he had landed the role of Hobie Buchannon, but perhaps fatefully for him, David Hasselhoff nixed the idea.

Leonardo DiCaprioLeonardo DiCaprio was nearly cast in ‘Baywatch’.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Berk said: "We actually had DiCaprio ready to be cast. But David thought he was too old to play his son.” Schwartz added: "David thought it would make him look older. He had a lot of concerns of that type.”

Pamela Anderson To Feature In 'Baywatch' Movie

Pamela Anderson David Hasselhoff Dwayne Johnson

Pamela Anderson has reportedly joined the cast of the Baywatch movie re-make, heading back to where it all began for her, despite recently claiming she wasn’t interested in TV remakes.

The movie’s primary star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared an Instagram picture of himself posing with the iconic model, whose career took off with the hugely popular beachside drama series in the late ‘80s.

“We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!,” the actor wrote in the caption. 48 year old Anderson is therefore the second actor from the original series to sign on to appear in some capacity in the forthcoming movie re-make, set for release on May 19th, 2017.

David Hasselhoff WILL Appear In 'Baywatch' Movie

David Hasselhoff Dwayne Johnson

David Hasselhoff is to feature in a new Baywatch movie that also stars Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Zac Efron, it has been revealed.

Johnson will reportedly be playing the role of Mitch Buchannon, the part occupied by the Hoff in the original TV series which ran from 1989 to 2000 – meaning that it’s as yet unclear what role Hasselhoff will be playing in this new movie reboot.

Announcing the news in an Instagram video on Thursday (March 3rd), Johnson was seen chatting via FaceTime with his future co-star Hasselhoff, asking the 63 year old actor “I don't know if the world is ready for both of us. Are you ready?”

Too Much 'Hassel'! David Hasselhoff Changes His Name

David Hasselhoff

'Baywatch' star and general TV legend David Hasselhoff has decided to change his name to ease the hassle of his life, and becomes just plain David Hoff - undoubtedly an homage to his endearing nickname 'The Hoff'. Now he just sounds like a cigar brand (Davidoff - geddit?).

David HasselhoffDavid Hasselhoff drops the 'Hassel'

The cheesy 80s actor (and we say that with great affection) who appeared in 'Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!' earlier this year opted for the name change as part of an Australian ad campaign - more on the subject will be revealed later - but he sure had us convinced that it was all for real with his video announcement.

Is David Hasselhoff The New Larry David? Probably Not, But He's Going To Try

David Hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff will be hitting Dave with a brand new, six-part spoof reality TV show set to air in 2015. The show will feature a semi-fictionalised Hoff and has been described to be akin to Curb Your Enthusiasm in style.

David HasselhoffDavid Hasselhoff's new show is set to hit Dave in 2015

There are three distinct possibilities for the Hoff’s new comedy venture: the show will be genuinely funny, garner critical praise and get a second season before the first one is out, probably on another network; or it’ll be unintentionally funny and get laughs because it’s a bit naff; or it’ll be the horrible, slow death of a cult hero. We’ve a horrible feeling the latter might be in store.

David Hasselfhoff $2 Million Pad Half The Price Of Old One

David Hasselhoff

Is David Hasselhoff retiring? His actions recently certainly bear the hallmarks of someone heading off towards the land of bingo halls, church fates and weekly trips to the hospital. As with many who retire, Hasselhoff seems to be downsizing his life somewhat. Following his decision to sell his luscious house in Encino for a cool $3.795 million, the Hoff has made a move on a cheaper property, a home in Calabasas for a significantly cheaper $1.95 million.

So what gives, Hoff? Perhaps he’s just playing the housing market like a shrewd dealer, but we reckon that – aged 60 – the dude’s looking to wind things down a little, and who can blame him. He did a lot of running about as part of Baywatch, the fella probably took a few years off his life just doing that. Sources have told TMZ that the actor and multi-million selling musician (mainly in Germany) purchased the 5,767-sq.-ft. Mediterranean home in Calabasas last week.

Its vital statistics include a 5-bedroom, 6-bathroom house sits in a small gated community. It’s even got its own basketball court, so it’s not exactly like he’s roughing it in his old age. We’d be surprised to see him out shooting hoops on a regular basis, though saying that he has kept himself trim all these years, maybe that’s the secret.

Fighting The Good Fight: David Hasselhoff Campaigns To Save Berlin Wall's East Side Gallery

David Hasselhoff

Back in 1989, David Hasselhoff celebrated the fall of the Berlin Wall – that had separated citizens in West and East Germany for so long – by standing atop one of the remaining sections and singing his song ‘Looking For Freedom.’ Now, in 2013, that same celebrity has returned to the East Side Gallery, the longest remaining stretch of the wall in Berlin and joined a campaign to save what remains of the wall.

The East Side gallery – a section of the wall, adorned with various original works of art - is intended as a monument to the history of the city and indeed the country but The Guardian reports that efforts are being made to remove the wall, in order to build luxury apartments, close to the trendy Kreuzberg area of the city. Activists are concerned that the developers Living Bauhaus will send their construction workers back to the area this week. David Hasselhoff appeared at a demonstration at the East Side Gallery to protest the developments and has vowed to help where he can, to reserve the wall as an historical monument.

“This last piece of the wall is really sacred, it's the last memorial to the people who died and to the perseverance of freedom,” said Hasselhoff. “I don't think I can afford to buy the land," Hasselhoff explained to The Guardian. "But we could raise the money – maybe we will.” It remains to be seen whether his star status will enable activists to halt the demolition of the wall and uphold the preservation of the monument.

Wedding Bells For The Hoff? Hayley Roberts Ready To Say Yes To David Hasselhoff

David Hasselhoff Alexandra Burke

David Hasselhoff’s Welsh girlfriend Hayley Roberts has revealed that she’s ready to accept a marriage proposal. The Hoff has already proposed to 32 year-old Hayley three times, in different locations but so far she has always turned him down. However, she told The Mirror that she reckons she’s ready now: “If and when he asks again, I’ll say yes,” she told the British newspaper. Perhaps she still hasn’t seen that David Hasselhoff cheeseburger video?

“I don’t think he’ll do the traditional thing and get my dad’s blessing first but that doesn’t bother me. Hardly anyone does that any more,” said Hayley. “We’ve been together for over 18 months now so I think I’m ready.” Tradition clearly isn’t high on Hasselhoff’s list of priorities. He and Hayley have been scouring the Cotswolds for a new home and now that they have found one in a village called Broadway, he has already declared that he intends to rename it Hoffway. “I’m hoping the locals take to us,” he said, though we’re not sure that changing the name of their village is such a great way to ingratiate yourselves with the locals. “I love your country and almost feel like an honorary Brit now,” said the Hoff, though he admits that Hayley’s Welsh homeland is nothing like anything he has ever known before.

The interview took place after he took part in the Virgin London Triathlon, in a celebrity team with Alexandra Burke and a journalist from The Mirror. He opted to do the 20km cycle ride, explaining that- somewhat ironically - his Baywatch years had given him a fear of open water. “It stems from too many takes in the freezing, choppy ocean during my Baywatch days,” he explained.

Piranha 3DD Review

Terrible
After the guilty-pleasure success of 2010's Piranha 3D, the quickly slapped-together trailer for this sequel looked like just as much fun. Sadly, more time and creativity was put into that teaser than the finished movie, which is a choppy, unfunny mess.

Maddy (Panabaker) is back home in Arizona from grad school, working in the water park she owns with her breast-obsessed stepdad Chet (Koechner). But after the Lake Victoria disaster, prehistoric piranhas have migrated here, drawn to the park's chlorine. After consulting with wild-haired expert Goodman (Lloyd), Maddy tries to avert disaster with the help of deputy Kyle (Zylka) and nice-guy Barry (Bush), who are rivals for her affections. But as the summer launch party nears, Chet refuses to close the park.

Very Good
What could have been a painfully childish animated Easter romp is given a shot of deranged humour and an above-average cast of voices and cameos. This makes it rather a lot more fun than expected.

Fred (Marsden) is a slacker whose parents (Cole and Perkins) finally force him out of the house. With some help from his sister (Cuoco), he gets a job interview and a mansion to housesit. But any promise is upended when he meets a talking rabbit named EB (voiced by Brand), who would rather be a rock drummer than follow his destiny as the Easter Bunny. Meanwhile on Easter Island, a disgruntled chick named Carlos (Azaria) is plotting a coup against EB's father (Laurie).

Bad
It seems only fitting that Adam Sandler, who has made a career of being the quintessential every-guy, would pilot a movie about the greatest invention for men -- the remote control. But Click isn't about the eternal struggle for who controls the all powerful remote. Instead, it's about all of the trouble Sandler can cause with this seemingly uncomplicated little device.

Sandler plays Michael, a workaholic architect who spends more time satisfying the whims of his demanding boss (David Hasselhoff) than he does with his family. Michael cancels camping trips with his kids and rushes (foolishly) through love-making sessions with his wife Donna (Kate Beckinsale) just so he can inch closer to that partnership he covets. Michael is out of control and out of the loop on everything going on at home. He can't even distinguish his television remote from the one that controls his garage.

A Dirty Shame Review

Good

Tracey Ullman is so perfectly attuned to John Waters' brand of lasciviously trashy comedy, it's a wonder that she hasn't worked before for the shamelessly silly provocateur.

In the uproarious "A Dirty Shame," the writer-director lets the caustic comedienne cut loose as Sylvia Stickles, a frigid, uptight working-class suburbanite who becomes an insatiable sex maniac after getting bonked on the noggin in a car accident.

After shocking her hitherto frustrated husband (played by singer Chris Isaak) with tongue-wiggling come-ons and liberating her trampy, triple-Z-cup stripper daughter (played with bimbonic irony by real-life A-cup Selma Blair) from the bedroom where she'd been padlocked away "for her own good," Sylvia joins other concussion-born libertines as a disciple of a self-proclaimed sexual evangelist (amusingly uncouth Johnny Knoxville). All of this helps set the stage for an absurdist battle against a band of spitefully self-righteous local prudes for the soul of their Baltimore neighborhood.
