Retiring presenter David Letterman has unveiled some of the last guests that he’ll interview on ‘The Late Show’ before he calls it a day next month, and it’s a veritable galaxy of stars that will help him on his lap of honour.

The final 28 episodes, to be broadcast over the next month and a half on CBS, begin tonight (Monday April 13th) with Sarah Jessica Parker, 2015 Masters champion Jordan Spieth and musical guests Asleep At The Wheel appearing, according to People magazine.

Later on this week, the legend will be interviewing Billy Crystal, Michael J. Fox, Kevin James and Alec Baldwin, and his musical performers will be Iron & Wine & Ben Bridwell (of Band Of Horses), Chris Stapleton, Tracy Chapman and John Mayer. The guests for his final show on May 20th, however, remain a secret.

George Clooney, Robert Downey Jr., Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Michael Keaton, Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Don Rickles, Julia Roberts, Ray Romano, Paul Rudd, Jerry Seinfeld, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Oprah Winfrey, and Mumford & Sons are just some of the other A-listers.

Letterman has presented from behind the desk at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York for more than twenty years. He began his stint on ‘The Late Show’ way back in 1993, with his late night chat show career originating on NBC even further back in 1982.

The May 20th farewell show is sure to be an emotional end to an era of American television. Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert was announced as Letterman’s replacement, and he’ll be making his debut at an as yet unconfirmed date soon afterwards.
