Actor David Soul is to pay tribute to novelist and playwright Samuel Beckett at a festival in Ireland this weekend (begs24Aug12).
The Starsky and Hutch star will take to the stage at the Happy Days Enniskillen International Beckett Festival and will read from Beckett's Assumption and Fizzle 2 as a celebration of his work, according to the Bbc.
The event will take place at the town's Portora Royal School where the Nobel Prize winning writer was once a pupil.
Beckett, who died in 1989 at the age of 83, wrote in both English and French having spent most of his adult life living in Paris, France. He is regarded as one of the most influential writers of the 20th century and was handed the 1969 Nobel Prize in Literature.
