Actress Dawn French is urging health chiefs in Britain to provide unlimited Ivf (in vitro fertilisation) for childless couples, after enduring the "heartbreaking" treatments herself.
The Harry Potter star went through several rounds of Ivf in the 1980s in a bid to get pregnant with her now ex-husband Lenny Henry.
French then tragically miscarried - and the couple subsequently adopted a daughter, Billie.
The funnywoman opened up about the trauma of undergoing Ivf in her autobiography Dear Fatty, and now she wants National Health Service (Nhs) bosses in the U.K. to lift the restrictions on the amount of treatment available to those who request it.
Speaking on Britain's The One Show, she says, "You should be able to keep doing it until you conceive because it's heartbreaking when you can't."
