A problem with the star's vocal cords meant the postponement of her London gig at the weekend, and Tuesday's show in Birmingham.
Demi Lovato has apologised to her fans after being forced to cancel her gig at London’s O2 Arena at the weekend, telling her followers that she is “very, very sick”.
The American singer, 25, was due to perform on Sunday night (June 10th) at the prestigious venue but cancelled at the last minute because of swollen vocal cords that she can’t risk damaging further without a rest.
“I write this through tears of frustration and sadness that I have to postpone my concert in London at the O2 tonight due to being very, very sick and with swollen vocal cords that were examined by an ENT (Dr.),” she told fans, after calling off her gig with less than an hour to go before she was due on stage."

Getting an invitation to the prestigious Met Gala is meant to be one of the most sought-after tickets in the celebrity world, getting to mix with the great and good of the entertainment and fashion industry.
However, Demi Lovato reckons that the annual bash in New York is too “cliquey”, and that on the first (and likely last) occasion she attended in 2016, the ‘Manus x Machina’ edition, she left halfway through attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
“I had a terrible experience. This one celebrity was a complete b***h and was miserable to be around. It was very cliquey,” Lovato told Billboard in a new interview published on Thursday (March 8th).

Chilean songwriter Jaime Ciero claims that the 'Frozen' song 'Let It Go' infringes on his own track 'Volar'.
‘Let It Go’ was the memorable soundtrack to the runaway success of Disney’s 2013 animated movie Frozen, and a song that has subsequently driven millions of parents completely round the bend. It was performed by actress Idina Menzel for the movie itself, and by pop star Demi Lovato for the single version.
However, TMZ reports on Thursday (November 23rd) that musician Jaime Ciero is suing the three defendants, claiming that ‘Let It Go’ sounds overly similar to his 2008 song ‘Volar’.
Her live rendition of the song is perfect.
It is quite the challenge to cover a song by such an incredibly flawless singer, but it has to be said that Demi Lovato absolutely slayed Sam Smith's new single 'Too Good At Goodbyes' during a live session at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this week.

Lovato has been plugging the detox tea brand Teami, but her followers have pointed out it contains the potentially dangerous ingredient Senna leaf.
Pop star Demi Lovato has come in for criticism on social media for promoting a brand of ‘fat-burning’ detox tea which contains a laxative element with potentially harmful side effects on a consumer’s health.
The singer posted a photo on Instagram on Tuesday (April 25th) of herself holding a bottle of Teami tea, promoting the health firm’s 30-day detox programme with the caption “this year is all about #selflove.”
However, fans and health experts quickly urged Lovato to take down the image – which, at the time of writing, she still hasn’t – saying that the product contained a laxative known as senna leaf, which also FDA-approved, health officials warned irritates the colon and removes important nutrients from the bowels.
