She’s recently drawn plaudits for having passed the five-year mark in her sobriety campaign, but Demi Lovato has revealed that she didn’t initially practice what she preached when she vowed to get clean.

The 25 year old star, who was 18 when she first sought help for problems with alcohol and drugs and has frequently been public with details about her battle, revealed in her new YouTube documentary movie Simply Complicated that the treatment she sought took a while to hit home with her.

“I wasn't working my program, I wasn't ready to get sober,” Lovato tells the camera about what we she was going through back in 2010, even revealing that she used to submit other people’s urine to cheat drug tests.

Demi Lovato has once again hit back at critics who are calling for her to reveal more details about her sexuality, clapping back at a question on Twitter.

The 25 year old pop singer responded to a complaint on social media from a senior journalist at The Huffington Post, Noah Michaelson, who had written a critical article on the subject.

“I love Demi Lovato, but her reason for refusing to talk about her sexuality is total bulls***,” Michaelson tweeted on Wednesday (September 20th). However, Lovato shot back in reply that she wouldn't be drawn on such questions. “Expectant and rude. Watch my documentary and chill out.”

Demi Lovato and several other stars performed an emotive version of 'With a Little Help From My Friends' last night (12.09.17).

The 25-year-old singer teamed up with Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and CeCe Winans to sing the Beatles hit at the 'Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief' telethon in the US to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey.

Demi took to her Instagram to show a picture of the stars after they performed the song at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, one of four locations the event was broadcast from onto major US TV networks as well as New York, Los Angeles and San Antonio.

Pop star Demi Lovato has come in for criticism on social media for promoting a brand of ‘fat-burning’ detox tea which contains a laxative element with potentially harmful side effects on a consumer’s health.

The singer posted a photo on Instagram on Tuesday (April 25th) of herself holding a bottle of Teami tea, promoting the health firm’s 30-day detox programme with the caption “this year is all about #selflove.”

However, fans and health experts quickly urged Lovato to take down the image – which, at the time of writing, she still hasn’t – saying that the product contained a laxative known as senna leaf, which also FDA-approved, health officials warned irritates the colon and removes important nutrients from the bowels.

Demi Lovato reacted nonchalantly to the prospect of being the victim of a nude photo hack, the like of which has been plaguing female celebrities of late, pointing out that she has posed naked for a magazine by choice before.

Long-term Disney colleagues and pals Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato have announced an extensive joint headline tour of North America next summer.

The Future Now tour will launch in Florida on June 24th 2016 and cover 44 dates in both the United States and Canada, ending up almost three months later in Los Angeles on September 17th. It’ll be the sixth time that the pair have worked together on a tour, ever since Lovato provided the support for The Jonas Brothers on their Burnin’ Up tour in 2008.

Appearing together on ‘Good Morning America’ on Monday (October 26th), Jonas explained that another tour seemed to make perfect sense and was natural, since their working relationship dated back such a long way.

Singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson has topped the UK album chart for the first time with his self-titled fourth album. The 39 year old was the first act to be signed to Ed Sheeran’s label Gingerbread Man Records earlier this year and managed to keep his mentor’s album x from reclaiming the top spot in the charts this week.

Pop singer Demi Lovato and her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama are in mourning after the shock of discovering their dog Buddy had been mauled to death after an attack by coyotes in the back yard of their home in Los Angeles.

The 22 year old received Buddy as a Christmas present last year from her boyfriend, 34, and was absolutely smitten with the puppy, taking several photos of him throughout 2015. However, she made the gruesome discovery on Sunday (July 26th) that her beloved pet had been fatally attacked by the wild animal that had wandered into their garden in Tarzana, California, according to TMZ.
