By now we know all about Demi Lovato’s eating disorder. You know all about Demi Lovato’s eating disorder. Basically, everyone knows about it. But apparently, talking about it is a form of therapy and talking about it to Fitness magazine is quite a well paid form of therapy, so who are we to judge.

Demi Lovato
These days Demi is happy, confident and in love.

The Skyscraper singer is still dealing with the fallout from her eating disorder and some residual body image issues, but she says that boyfriend Wilmer Valderama has been a major help in overcoming them. In fact, Demi admitted that she’d almost had a relapse as recently as 2013.

"It was difficult. I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer. I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time," the former Disney star, 22, said. "Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief. I was done being afraid of food and so tired of overeating and not knowing why I did it."

Today Demi is happy, healthy and enjoying her body and her relationship. And she even has the confidence to show off her figure!

"I've learned to appreciate my body for it is," the SoulCycle devotee told the magazine. "I recently saw pictures from my first tour, and I spent that whole summer performing in the heat in a red leather jacket because I was ashamed to show my arms. And that was when I was 105 pounds! This tour, I've had the confidence to show my arms at every single concert. It may seem like a small thing, but for me, that's huge."

So how does Demi stay motivated these days? By working out to be stronger, faster and healthier, she told the mag: "My trainer will make me look in the mirror while I'm lifting weights or doing squats so I can watch my muscles forming. It's encouraging to see myself getting stronger. Now I get excited about seeing muscles instead of bones."

Good for you, Miss Lovato. Good for you.
