A school principal once forced DEMI LOVATO to sign a "suicide contract" when she was seven following teachers' concerns about her state of mind.

The singer/actress, who has battled personal issues for years and spent months in rehab following a meltdown on tour in 2010, admits she was a strange child who used to worry people with her dark thoughts.

She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "The principal called my parents and made me sign this suicide contract saying that I would not kill myself."

Shortly after her rehab stint, the Skyscraper singer revealed she was a survivor of bulimia and self-harming, and she also opened up about her battles with bipolar disorder.
