It is quite the challenge to cover a song by such an incredibly flawless singer, but it has to be said that Demi Lovato absolutely slayed Sam Smith's new single 'Too Good At Goodbyes' during a live session at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this week.

If Sam Smith and Demi Lovato don't team up soon for a collaboration, it will be such a shame for the pop world. The pair of them have such soul in their voices that 'Too Good At Goodbyes' makes for an amazing listen.

It's the lead single from Sam's new album 'The Thrill of It All' which has already topped charts in the UK and the US, beating the chart success of his debut album 'In the Lonely Hour' released in 2014.

Since his last album, he has been fairly absent from the music scene, apart from a 2015 'Lay Me Down' re-release, and yet another one for Red Nose Day featuring John Legend that same year. But he's definitely back with a punch this year.

He brought 'Too Good At Goodbyes' to the world in September, having co-written it with James Napier, Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen. He soon followed with 'One Last Song', and dropped the full album on November 3rd 2017.

Sam Smith is set to embark on a world tour in March 2018, kicking off at the Sheffield Arena on March 20th and concluding at Scotiabank Saddledome in Alberta on September 13th. He'll also be performing in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and he'll have a four-night residency at London's O2 Arena in April.

Meanwhile, Demi has also been promoting her newest album. 'Tell Me You Love Me' is the sixth studio effort from the 25-year-old, and featured the lead single 'Sorry Not Sorry'. It was released back in September 2017.
