Demi Moore is said to be embarrassed about her recent emergency admission to hospital, according to People Magazine. The 49 year-old actress was rushed to hospital by ambulance on January 23, 2012 after she started convulsing at her home and friends called 911. A recording of the phone call has since been released to the media.
A source has told People that the Ghost star is "embarrassed" by the public nature of her breakdown and added that "Ego-wise, this is the worst thing that could happen to Demi, because she's such a private person." However, the source also went on to say that, according to the laws of Kabbalah, which she studies, problems such as these "can be an opportunity, a blessing, and not a curse. From a spiritual sense, it is a gift. She has a real opportunity to grow from it. She has to take responsibility for her life." It was previously reported that Demi was seeking spiritual counseling following her discharge from hospital.
The cause of Demi Moore's hospitalization has not yet been confirmed, though there have been rumors of drug misuse; specifically of the drug nitrous oxide which is legal but potentially harmful. It has been confirmed, though, that Demi Moore's daughter, Rumer Willis was at the property when her mother suffered the seizure and the ambulance was called. It is thought that some sections of the 911phone call were edited out before the recording was released to the media, in order to protect the actress' privacy.
