Dennis Quaid has made an emotional return to the Los Angeles hospital where his baby twins almost died after a blunder by medics.
The star and his wife Kimberley were awarded $750,000 (£493,420) in damages in December (08), after staff at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center mistakenly gave their newborns Thomas and Zoe a near-fatal amount of blood thinning drug Heparin - leaving them fighting for their lives.
The siblings have since recovered and are in good health.
California state regulators also fined the hospital for the failure of its staff to follow their own procedures.
Quaid paid a visit to Cedars-Sinai in February (09) as part of a special for the Oprah Winfrey show - to determine whether the medical facility has put any steps in place to ensure a similar mistake could not happen again.
He tells the cameras, "Being here brings back a lot of memories, not all of them good."
The episode is set to air in the U.S on Tuesday (10Mar09).
