Where's The Fourth Destiny's Child Member? In SC, Getting Arrested, Apparently

Destiny's Child

For a decade now, one question has plagued the internet. Our collective mind has been occupied with the thought – where is the fourth member of Destiny’s Child? The answer – this week at least – getting arrested in South Carolina, apparently.

Farrah Franklin, who spent five months as a Destiny’s Child member back in 2000, was booked for disorderly conduct in Myrtle Beach on Friday, according to TMZ. She was taken in at 4.55AM and then released on Sunday morning, on a $280 bail. The exact incident which led to her arrest was not disclosed. Soon after the incident, Franklin posted an inspirational quote on Instagram, which may have been related to her legal misstep.

Kelly Rowland Breaks Down In Tears Over Beyonce Jealously [Video]

Kelly Rowland broke down in tears while performing her new track 'Dirty Laundry' - a song about her previous jealously of best pal Beyonce - during a show in Washington this week. The crowd cheered for the R&B singer during her tearful delivery of the emotional song, leaving Rowland to stop and wipe away the tears.

In the new track, the former Destiny's Child singer speaks about how her abusive former boyfriend turned her against Beyonce. "Bird in a café. You'd never know what I was dealing with. Went our separate ways but I was happy she was killin' it. Bittersweet, she was up, I was down.No lie, I feel good for her but what do I do now?" she sings. In a video from the Washington gig, Rowland, 32, is seen sitting on a stool and singing before choking up and having to bow her head. Buoyed by the crowd, she continues the song before telling fans, "Doing this song for me was so therapeutic. Honesty, like my mama always says, is always the best policy."

Watch Kelly Rowland crying:

'Dirty Laundry' features on Rowland's forthcoming studio album - another song 'You've Changed' was released on Tuesday (May 28, 2013) and features both Beyonce and Michelle Williams. The singer was recently confirmed as a new judge on Simon Cowell's X-Factor USA having previously worked on the British version of the singing contest. She joins Cowell, Demi Lovato and Latin pop star, Paulina Rubio on the new look panel.

Mommy's Girl: Beyonce Owes Everything To Tina Knowles

Beyonce Knowles Salma Hayek Destiny's Child Tina Knowles

Beyonce has paid tribute to her mother Tina Knowles in a new video for Chime for Change, Gucci's global campaign for women's empowerment. The 31-year-old R&B superstar cited her mother as the most influential female in her life, saying, "My mother's gift is finding the best qualities in every human being.I think her gift is understanding and helping people get to their best selves," Beyonce said of her mother, who used to design the costumes for Destiny's Child.

At the end of the new clip, a banner asks viewers, "Who do you chime for?" It was launched in support of an upcoming concert The Sound of Change Live, which will see Beyonce, Ellie Goulding, Florence and the Machine and Rita Ora highlight women's issues at London's Twickenham Stadium. "Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible," said Beyonce, adding that the event was a chance to "bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage."

Chime for Change was launched in February by Beyonce and co-founders Salma Hayek and Frida Giannini, Creative Director at Gucci, in partnership with the fashion label. Beyonce added, "Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be. It's up to us to change the statistics for women around the world."

Beyonce, Life Is But A Dream PremiereBeyonce In Elie Saab At The Life Is But A Dream Premiere

Beyonce has had arguably the most hectic month of her entire career, though she looked in tip-top condition at the New York premiere of her HBO documentary 'Life Is But A Dream,' on Tuesday evening (February 12, 2013). The R&B superstar wore a shimmering, sheer embellished Elie Saab gown with floral applique. The dress was debuted by a runway model at Saab's Spring 2012 Haute Couture show, though it looked as though it had been designed for Beyonce at the premiere.

Earlier in the day, Bey sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an episode of 'Oprah's Next Chapter,' which airs at 8pm on February 16, 2013. The queen of daytime television told OMG! Insider: "Beyonce shows the power of vulnerability in a way we've never seen anyone do. She opened herself up. She let us see her vulnerable side. She became for us not just this mythical goddess. She became a real woman. She shocked me. I was in tears," adding, "She did an amazing job . People are going to be amazed. What's going to happen now is that people are going to feel a connection to her that they wouldn't have felt before, because she shows us how real she is." Sounds intense.

Congratulations To Beyonce, But Super Bowl Show Fails To Beat Madonna Ratings

Beyonce Knowles Destiny's Child Madonna

Beyonce fans are still shouting from the rooftops about her Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday (February 3, 2013), when the R&B queen smashed out the hits and briefly reunited with her Destiny's Child band-mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams - she also sang live.

However, it has emerged that Beyonce's half-time show extravaganza scored just 48.2/71 in the 8.00pm-8.30pm time slot. That was down from the 48.1/72 that Madonna scored for her 2012 half-time performance, which was mired in controversy after M.I.A flipped two fingers to the camera during Give Me All Your Luvin. Though her ratings were up on Beyonce, Madonna's half-time show didn't really impress the millions watching at home, with Twitter users picking the performance apart piece-by-piece. In contrast, Beyonce received almost universal acclaim for her show, which featured a number of her greatest hits, plus a few old favourites from her Destiny's Child days, including Independent Woman and Bootylicious.

According to Deadline.com, Sunday's game, between the San Francisco 49er and the Baltimore Ravens, peaked at 52.9/75 for its nail-biting final half hour. Following the game, CBS drama Elementary averaged 12.0/24.

Keyshia Cole: Michelle Williams F*cked Up Beyonce's Super Bowl Show!

Keyshia Cole Michelle Williams Beyonce Knowles Kelly Rowland Destiny's Child

It seems Keyshia Cole was one of the few people who wasn't too impressed by Beyonce's Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday (February 3, 2013). The outspoken R&B singer, 31, shared her opinion on the performance with her 217,000 Twitter followers, though she directed most of her ire at Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams.

Beyonce, Michelle and Kelly Rowland performed Bootylicious, Independent Women Part 1 and Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) during the Mercedes-Benz halftime show and although the medley added a new dimension to the show, it was perhaps the least impressive part of the set. "F-ck that shit up then Beyonce! Bad bitch central," Cole said of the headliner, who got a frighteningly good reception in New Orleans, "I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. Then Michelle sung and woke my ass up from my daze! She always f-cking the groove up." The singer's Twitter account was immediately targeted by Destiny's Child fans with perhaps too much time on their hands, and Cole finally offered a half-apology, "And y'all girl is whack and always will be!" she said.

Williams herself seemed pleased enough with her performance, tweeting, "Had a great time with my sisters tonight! Tried to keep it a surprise!" Beyonce - who had a point to prove herself - told OMG, "It feels good to know the hard work paid off. It's a live television show. It's the biggest show in America."

Did Beyonce's Half Time Super Bowl Performance Redeem Her Lip Sync Scandal?

Beyonce Knowles Destiny's Child

It took a long time, but Beyonce finally had her word on the lip syncing scandal that surrounded her after Obama's inauguration. She did it, and it was her decision. But if belting out an impromptu rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner wasn't 'in your face' enough, then her half time Super Bowl performance certainly was.

After announcing that she'd "absolutely be singing live" at a recent press conference, there was an extra air of tension surrounding the show. Add to that the speculation surrounding a possible Destiny's Child reunion and the atmosphere was positively fever pitch. Beyonce didn't let the pressure get to her, and if she did, she certainly didn't show it, charismatically posing below a huge fire-lit silhouette of herself, before strutting onto stage like she owned the stadium.

Of course, Destiny's Child did reunite on stage, which probably would have taken some of the heat off Beyonce. The girls sang 'Bootylicious' and 'Independent Women' before doing the full routine for 'Single Ladies'. "Thank you so much, god bless y'all," said Beyonce before she departed, and it was over. But did she make amends to those who castigated her for using a backing track at the inauguration? Well the truth is she didn't need to, but did it anyway. The self-described "perfectionist" delivered the good, and will go down in history. Check out the performance below.

Justin Timberlake Comes Back With A Bang At Explosive Pre-Game Super Bowl Concert (Video)

Justin Timberlake Jay Z Beyonce Knowles Destiny's Child

Last night (Feb 2), Justin Timberlake returned to the stage for the first time in years to perform a one-off special for the DIRECTV Super Saturday Night charity concert. Don't worry, he didn't disappoint.

His momentous return not only saw him go through some crowd favourites from his past two albums, but also some brand new, never before heard, tracks from the upcoming album The 20/20 Experience. If debuting 'Little Pusher Love Girl' and 'Bad Girl' wasn't enough, then having Jay Z join him on stage for a rendition of his comeback single, 'Suit and Tie', surely placed the icing on top of the hotly anticipated cake.

Today, Mrs Jay Z will take to the stage for what is undoubtedly the main event of Super Bowl - the halftime show. If JT's return wasn't good enough, then the rumoured return of Destiny's Child during Beyonce's performance will surely wet most appetites. Super Bowl weekend really is proving to be the time of 2000's nostalgia, so no wonder so many people are looking forward to it.

The Stage Is Set For Beyonce's Super Bowl Halftime Show

Beyonce Knowles Destiny's Child Justin Timberlake Madonna

For those who may have forgotten about Beyonce, you should be aware that the actual game is far from the main event at the Super Bowl.

What could be called the main event this year, or at least the most hyped up will be Beyonce’s half-time show. Every entertainment outlet hasn’t stopped thumping about it, with predictions, speculation and quotes from all kinds of sources on her upcoming performance. Will the rest of Destiny’s Child be joining Bey on stage? Which songs will she perform? And, most recently, after her lipsync-ed performance at the President’s Inaugural Ball, will she do it 100% live this time? And let’s not forget the added pressure of having to promote her upcoming HBO documentary. The young mother of Blue Ivy does have a lot on her plate currently.

The powerhouse singer sure has some big shoes to fill too, considering that the last halftime show – Madonna’s performance in 2012 - drew in a record 111 million viewers across the nation. This was far more than the people who watched the actual game. Along with Justin Timberlake’s pre-game show and, of course, all of those flashy Super Bowl ads, Beyonce should provide entertainment that’s probably more worth viewing than the whole football thing (or handegg, as the internet has more aptly renamed the game).

New Beyonce Tour On The Way? Superbowl Half Time Show Announcement May Be Made

Beyonce Knowles Michelle Williams Kelly Rowland Destiny's Child

For anyone that has ever seen Beyonce perform live (this is not a dig at her inauguration performance) you'll know full well that it is a thing of exhilarating beauty, both to the eyes and the ears. She knows how to put on a show and if anyone saw that incredible a cappella performance at the Superbowl press conference, Lord knows she can sing. So, for her to hint at an announcement to be made at the show about an upcoming tour makes us even more excited for Sunday's performance.

When asked by a man at the conference, on behalf of his daughter, when she would next be touring, she said: "I would say, soon, and I may have an announcement after the performance and the fans should just stay tuned to see." Aside from using the opportunity to clear up the controversy about whether or not she lip-synced at President Obama's second inauguration, Beyonce remained rather tight lipped in regard to anything else. Particularly about whether her Destiny's Child comrades, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, would be joining her during half time. "I can't really give you any details," she said.

A Destiny's Child performance and a tour announcement made in one night? Well it would be just about a dream come true. Beyonce also spoke about how excited she is for Sunday. When she first arrived at the SuperDome she relished in the experience: "I took my shoes off and I planted my feet into the ground and I just ran." And as to whether she'll be singing live this time around? Most definitely yes. "This is what I was born to do," she said, "This is what I was born for."

Stevie Wonder To Perform In New Orleans On Super Bowl Weekend

Stevie Wonder Destiny's Child Justin Timberlake

Stevie Wonder will be performing on Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans. The entertainer will be gathering crowds at an outdoor concert on February 2 at the Wyndham Waterfront Hotel – the evening before the big game.

According to the LA Times, the show will be sponsored by Bud Light – highly appropriate, considering the mood and theme of the Super Bowl itself, which can be summarized as “football and beer”. A number of other performers will also join the Rock’n Roll Hall of Fame veteran, including the Texan blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr.

The Super Bowl is always a weekend-long treat for sports fans, packed with all kinds of entertainment, but this year will be especially interesting given the scheduled returns and reunions by some of the iconic acts of the last decade. The half-time show will not only include an interactive performance by Beyonce, with the participation of her fans, but also, reportedly, an onstage reunion of Destiny’s Child, for the first time since the power trio’s final performance together at the NBA All Star game in 2006. Additionally, this weekend will see Justin Timberlake performing live for the first time in four years at DirecTV’s Super Saturday Night Concert. All in all, football is far from the only thing on the agenda next weekend.

The National Anthem At This Year's Superbowl Will Be Sung By Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys Beyonce Knowles Destiny's Child Christina Aguilera Kelly Rowland Michelle Williams

Well, it was about time. With a week left until the Super Bowl, the National Football League finally announced that this year, the national anthem at the game will be sung by none other than Alicia Keys.

The fourteen-time Grammy winner seems like a perfectly solid choice for the honorary job, although, with previous Super Bowl performances in mind, she probably doesn’t have that much to compete with (cough, Christina Aguilera’s botched performance in 2011).

Despite the Super Bowl being hosted in New Orleans this year, the entertainment will be dominated by New York ladies as it seems, with NY-native Keys singing the anthem and residents of the Big Apple Beyonce, along with fellow Destiny’s Child singers Kelly Rowland and Michele Williams (it is rumoured), performing in the half time show. So far, this is all the news anyone has about the entertainment at this year’s game, but even so, it looks like everyone, including non-football fans, will be catered for. If you don’t tune in for the game, it may be worth at least checking out the entertainment. And those shiny, shiny Super bowl ads. Despite rumoured changes to the tone of the advertising, we’re sure there will be no shortage of scantily clad women in the ad breaks, as per Super Bowl tradition. And with so much money being poured into the entertainment and advertising, surely, this will be one to watch. After all, the Super Bowl only comes along once a year.

Michelle Williams Reveals Battle With Depression, Ahead Of Possible Super Bowl Show

Destiny's Child Michelle Williams Beyonce Knowles Kelly Rowland

Michelle Williams reveals that she has been suffering with depression since being a teenager. The Destiny’s Child singer is about to release a solo album, as well as rehearsing for her new role in the touring musical Fela! which kicks off later this month. And, of course, the world roared with excitement recently when the new recording from Destiny's Child was released. In an interview with Associated Press, Michelle explains that although she made a conscious effort to fight for her happiness, things have not always been so easy.

“I had to choose to get out of bed and do whatever I needed to do to be happy,” Williams explains. “We're taught, 'Just go to church and pray about it. The Lord is going to heal you.' Well, in the meantime, I believe God-gifted people, physicians, doctors, therapists — that's your healing. Take advantage of it. Go see a professional so that they can assess you. It's OK if you're going through something. Depression is not OK, but it is OK to go get help.”

When it came to the big question of whether or not she and Kelly Rowland will be joining Beyonce at the half time Super Bowl show, she was not so open, though. “Who knows,” she said with a smile and then teased “We make sure not to go too long without doing something.”

Beyonce To Perform With The Rest Of Destiny's Child At Super Bowl Half-Time Show?

Destiny's Child Beyonce Knowles Kelly Rowland Michelle Williams

Destiny's Child came back into everyone's conscious this week, with a brand new song and album details galore to go with their triumphant return, and if rumours are to be believed, then we won't have too long to wait before we see them on stage together again.

Although nothing has been confirmed just yet, US Weekly have cited a number of sources revealing that the girls will be hooking up next month for a very special show indeed - the Super Bowl halftime show. Beyoncé is already signed on to star as the main attraction at this year's halftime show in New Orleans, and the word on the street is that she will be joined by former bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

The trio's first album in eight years, Love Songs, will be released on January 29th, four days before the Super Bowl show on February 3rd, which makes for perfect timing to get a bit of publicity for the album.

Destiny's Child Reunion Continues With Brand New Song - Nuclear

Destiny's Child Beyonce Knowles Kelly Rowland Michelle Williams

Destiny’s Child will always hold a special place in the hearts of most 90s/early 00s kids, and it’s no wonder that the three former members – Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams – are reluctant to let the cash cow go as well.

Following the news that the trio will be reunited at the Superbowl halftime performance and that, even better, they are back in the studio making new music and yesterday (January 11), the powerhouse girl group dropped 'Nuclear.' Their newest track features their signature sultry sound with a (sort of) updated beat and, of course, some nice harmonies. The lead singer, as usual, is Beyonce, but her co-members also have significant enough parts on the song, instead of serving as glorified backup singers, as some critics predicted.

'Nuclear' is produced by The Neptunes' Pharell Williams, who is also collaborating with Beyonce on her upcoming solo album, and the track will be released for iTunes download on January 29, according to E!Online. It will be featured on Love Songs – Destiny’s Child’s compilation of their most iconic baby-making music. For fans of the trio, it will be well worth downloading, especially since the reunion is bound to be short-lived. If you’re still on the fence about the album however, why not give 'Nuclear' a listen below and decide for yourself?

Is A Destiny's Child Super Bowl Appearance In The Offing?

Destiny's Child Beyonce Knowles

In a head-spinning week for pop music, Destiny’s Child have announced that – as well as their recorded return – they will also be reuniting live to perform at the half-time show of this year’s Super Bowl.

It’s been a ridiculous week for returning music stars; admittedly the biggest by some stretch has been David Bowie’s return after a decade long recorded hiatus, the 66 year-old announced a new single – instantly released – and an album to come in March. Meanwhile Justin Timberlake put up a video on Youtube which saw the star talk through his preparations for what would appear to be a new album. And Beyonce revealed that Destiny’s Child were to release their first new material in eight years, with a new track appearing on a collection of their best ballads, the whole album titled Love Songs.

Now Us Magazine claim that Knowles – who was already down to headline the event on February 3 at the American Football showcase in New Orleans – will open the show before being joined mid-point by her Destiny’s Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who will perform a medley of the bands hits culminating in new track ‘Nuclear’. If it turns out to be true, it will be the trio’s first appearance live since 2006.

Justin Timberlake "I'm Ready" Video: Annoying Or Ingenious?

Justin Timberlake Destiny's Child

Justin Timberlake's been out of the game for 6 years, making appearances in films, and probably just spending money on nice food and premium shaving products. Then, one day, someone asked him if he was done with music...

See, that's the thing, is that true Justin? Did someone really ask you that, spurring you on to make an enigmatic video, which basically just announces you're going to make another album? Justin didn't answer us, by the way. "Someone asked me the other day, 'So are you just done with music?'" the 31-year-old said in a new video, posted to his website on Thursday. "[But] I don't wanna put anything out that I don't love ... You have to wait for it." Timberlake walks through through a building, not facing the camera. "Look I've only done two albums in 10 years," he continues. "I'm the one that sits and is obsessive about it before you even get to hear it," Justin turns round to face the camera, headphone on. "I'm ready."

And now to answer the question posited in the headline: it's annoying. The spontaneity and enigma the video tries to convey is negated by the fact Justin and his PR people would have sat down and discussed this at length. It would have been rehearsed, shot and mastered. The world hasn't missed the music of Timberlake enough to warrant a countdown. It just hasn't. We wish Justin all the best with his musical return, but he should have taken the Destiny's Child route and just shown excitement and enthusiasm; it translates better than moody enlightenment.

Destiny's Child New Song Caps A Week Of Surprise Comebacks

Destiny's Child Beyonce Knowles Michelle Williams Kelly Rowland

Destiny's Child's new song Nuclear is the latest surprise comeback this week, with the legendary David Bowie and not-so legendary Suede both announcing their first new material in over 10 years. With Bowie's Where Are We Now? topping the download charts, we can't help but think Bernard Butler and Brett Anderson got their timing very, very wrong, though Beyonce, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland have enough star power to confirm their reunion as a pretty big deal.

Perhaps we should make it clear to R&B fans that the Destiny's Child reunion isn't quite a full-blown comeback, yet. For now, it's limited to a new track on a Love Songs compilation set for release on January 29, 2013. It's been written and produced by Pharrell Williams with a little help from Michelle Williams and the cover art shows the three members who comprised the multi-million selling trio last time out. The group have been relatively silent since their last album Destiny Fulfilled in 2004, though Beyonce has established herself as one of the biggest artists in the world while Kelly has enjoyed moderate success as a solo artist and Michelle has performed in the West End.

In their first spell together, the group became the world's biggest R&B group with hits such as Survivor, Bills, Bills Bills and Bootylicious. Though the trio's intentions are unclear, we probably shouldn't hold our breath for a full comeback. Yet.

Destiny's Child Reunion Confirmed! Beyonce Confirms New Material

Destiny's Child Beyonce Knowles Kelly Rowland Michelle Williams

Beyonce has announced the first new Destiny's Child material in eight years, revealing a new release Love Songs, out January 29, 2013, on her website.

As if we weren't already spinning from the news that David Bowie was back, Beyonce's recent tweet means that we'll be getting music from possibly the finest pop groups ever to stride the planet. The superstar broke the news on her site with a simple message: "I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years! - Beyoncé". Additionally there was a link to pre-order the new material from Amazon, with the price suggesting that this could be an entire album of new songs. The news means that both Knowles and her husband Jay Z could have new music out this month, with speculation mounting that a new Justin Timberlake track will be revealed today (January 10, 2013) featuring Hova.

This is perhaps more exciting though; as Destiny's Child, Beyonce - alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams - were one of the most successful pop acts going in the first half of the last decade. Selling more than 50 million records worldwide, the trio were known for tracks like 'Say My Name', 'Independent Woman' and 'Bootylicious'. Though Knowles and Rowland in particular have gone on to solo success, it's been new Destiny's Child material that fans have always been hankering for. The group's last album was Destiny Fulfilled, a number two US- charting release which came out in 2004.
