Singer Diana Ross has appealed for privacy for Michael Jackson's three children after their grandmother Katherine was suspended as their sole guardian.
The 82-year-old family matriarch lost her role as the primary carer of Prince, Paris and Blanket after she was reported missing last month (Jul12), prompting speculation Ross would step in to look after the children.
The Thriller icon had noted in his 2002 will that his longtime friend Ross should take in the Jackson kids should his elderly mother die, but the Motown legend has asked that the matter be dealt with behind closed doors.
In a statement to the Associated Press, Ross says that "all interests are best served if it remains private".
A judge has ordered Tito Jackson's son TJ, who has been appointed the kids' temporary guardian, to notify Ross of changes in the guardianship arrangement.
