Diane Von Furstenberg is to create a limited-edition Evian bottle.

The natural mineral water brand has asked The Fashion designer to make its 2013 limited-edition bottle, which will be released in November at Evian retailers, bars and restaurants and on evian.com.

The partnership is the latest designer collaboration for the French water purveyor, which since 2008 has created a new designer bottle annually with Issey Miyake, Sir Paul Smith, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Lacroix and Courreges.

Earlier this year, Diane launched her collection for GapKids and BabyGap.

The Belgium-born sartorialist - who is best known for her iconic wrap dress - saw the Gap store in The Grove in Los Angeles decked out with a miniature petting zoo and a railway for the collection, which she said she enjoyed the ''optimism'' of.

She said: ''I used to say no to doing kids collections because I wanted the little girls to grow up, but this is so fun and happy and I like the optimism of it.''
