Dido is working on a new album.

The 40-year-old singer - whose album 'No Angel' sold 21 million copies worldwide - is back in the studio laying down tracks for her fourth record and set to collaborate with some big names.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''She's writing again and is in the studio recording some fantastic material. She has a fantastic team behind her and there will be at least two surprise duets on the album.''

As well as working on her career, last year, the 'Thank You' hitmaker became a mother for the first time, giving birth to son Stanley in July.

However, her pregnancy meant she missed out on the opportunity to perform her song 'If I Rise', from the movie '127 Hours' at February's Oscars.

She wrote on her website at the time: ''Hello everyone, It's been a month of amazing news for me and now I have some more to share. Me and my husband Rohan are expecting a baby and we're beyond happy and excited about it.

''So as some of you already know, I won't be able to travel to Los Angeles for The Oscars ceremony to perform 'If I Rise'.

''Obviously I'm really gutted about not being there - going to the Oscars has literally been a dream of mine since I was about nine.''
