Dina Lohan appeared in a Long Island courthouse on Tuesday (June 3rd) to be sentenced for her DUI arrest last September (2013), which she pleaded guilty to in April.

Judge Andrew Engel didn't hold back when addressing the 51 year-old, sentencing her to 100 hours of community service and suspending her driving licence for a full year, ABC reports.

Dina was also ordered to pay a $3,000 fine.

Once she is able to drive again, a breathalyser device will be installed in Lohan's vehicle for another year. The interlock system will prevent the car from starting if any traces of alcohol are detected on her breath.

As usual in these cases, Dina has been ordered to attend a drinking and driving program, a vehicle impact panel as well as paying the appropriate fees and fines she has built up since her arrest.

The DUI charge stems from when Lohan was pulled over by NY State police at the Northern State Parkway, after she was caught speeding at 77mph in a 55mph zone in her white BMW. After taking a breathalyser test, her blood-alcohol levels were 0.2 percent, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.

Mark Jay Heller, Dina's Layer, issued a statement once the hearing was over.

"In spite of the fact that the District Court of Nassau County dispenses the sternest DWI Sentences in America, which traditionally provides for a period of incarceration and three years of Probation, Dina Lohan's Sentence did not provide for any period of incarceration or Probation, in light of Dina Lohan's exemplary record with no prior arrest history and in deference to the Nassau County Screening Evaluation of Ms. Lohan which concluded that she has no alcohol or substance abuse issues," the statement read

He continued, "Clearly, it was recognized that Dina Lohan has been a life-long resident of Nassau County, a good and loving Parent to four children and the arrest was borne out of an isolated act of indiscretion on the occasion of her 50th Birthday. Dina Lohan is happy to put this unfortunate event behind her."
