'Sons Of Guns' Star Will Hayden Is Charged With Raping Daughter, 12

Discovery

The Discovery Channel has cancelled Sons of Guns following the disturbing news that its main star Will Hayden, 44, has been charged with raping his 12-year-old daughter. Hayden was arrested on Tuesday evening (August 27, 2014) and booked the following date for aggregated rape of a child.

"Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of Sons of Guns and cancel the series," Discovery told E! News.

Moonshiners Star Tickle Arrested: Illicit Alcohol Fan Over-Indulges, Gets Public Intoxication Charge

Discovery

We’re all for taking your job seriously and devoting your life to your chosen profession but you know, sometimes, you just need to rein it in a little. That can definitely be said of The Moonshiners star Tickle, who appears to have been over-indulging in his illicit alcohol and has found himself arrested at a convenience store, for public intoxication. Hardly the best advert for your trade, is it? Getting arrested for it?

Police in Danville, Virginia announced on Tuesday (March 11, 2013) announced that they had picked up Steven Ray Tickle (known simply as Tickle on the show) at Charley’s Stop and Shop. He was reportedly sat in the parking lot drinking. He had an open container of alcohol and also had the smell of alcohol on his breath. Surprising? No. Illegal? ‘Fraid so, Tickle. He was arrested and released the same day, from Danville City Jail, according to a report from therepublic.com. It’s currently unclear whether or not Tickle has a lawyer to defend him.

The Discovery Channel did not return a call asking form comment on the incident involving the inebriated 35 year old. The show Moonshiners follows the lives of people that brew the illegal alcohol, known as Moonshine. The show’s website describes Tickle as a “hard working still hand who loves moonshine.”

Steven Tickle: Star Of Discovery's "Moonshiners" Arrested For Public Intoxication

Discovery

It looks like one of the stars of Discovery’s Moonshiners, Steven Ray Tickle, has been taking his job a little too seriously.

Tickle was arrested for public intoxication last Thursday in Danville, Va. He was reportedly apprehended in the parking lot at Charley’s Stop and Shop convenience store, according to the Raleigh Telegram. The officers got flagged down by an unnamed concerned citizen, who spotted Tickle’s suspicious behaviour.

The reality star was reportedly so wasted, that he actually had to be carried into jail by the cops. He must be used to it by now though, since it is certainly not his first time. Tickle’s bio on the Discovery website describes him as “a hard working still hand who loves moonshine” – a bit too much, perhaps. This doesn’t really come as a surprise to anyone, or at least not anyone familiar with the setup of Moonshiners. The reality show focuses on home brewers trying to evade the law and brewing, well, stupidly alcoholic concoctions in the privacy of their own basements. Fun to watch on TV, sure, but if there was ever any doubt about the reality of the format, well, that would be your proof right there. Get it? Proof? Never mind.

Discovery Reality Show Crew Killed In Helicopter Crash

Discovery

Tragedy has struck crew members working on the production of a new Discovery reality TV show, after it was revealed that a helicopter that they were in had crashed in south California at the weekend (February 10, 2013).

According to The New York Times, the crash happened in the early hour of the morning western time and occurred thirty miles outside of Los Angeles at the Polsa Rosa Movie Ranch. The permit that had been given to Eyeworks USA, the production company behind the show, had given them access for filming on the Saturday and Sunday, with details of what they were shooting scarce except for the fact that it was a military-based show.

The production company issued their own brief statement which read “As has been reported, 3 people passed in a helicopter crash while filming a new television reality series with our affiliate Eyeworks USA. We share in our affiliates sympathies for the families and others who are now dealing with this tragedy and send them our warmest regards.” Eyeworks' past TV credits include Flying Wild Alaska, on Discovery, Bar Rescue, on Spike, and Splash, which is a diving competition scheduled to debut on ABC next month.
