The Discovery Channel has cancelled Sons of Guns following the disturbing news that its main star Will Hayden, 44, has been charged with raping his 12-year-old daughter. Hayden was arrested on Tuesday evening (August 27, 2014) and booked the following date for aggregated rape of a child.

"Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of Sons of Guns and cancel the series," Discovery told E! News.

The alleged victim told deputies from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office that Hayden had raped her almost daily since March 2013, apparently taking her virginity when she was just 11 and allegedly taking her into "his bedroom where the Defendant removed victims clothing and raped her orally and then vaginally".

The defendant said she didn't disclose any information sooner because Hayden apparently told her "Don't tell them nothing, because I'm all you got."

The TV star was initially arrested and booked in Louisiana on August 9 on charges of molestation of a juvenile, however, he was released after posting $150,000 bond. At the time, Hayden said the claims were coming from a bitter ex-girlfriend seeking revenge for him ending their relationship. His oldest daughter Stephanie also came to his defense, saying, "There was never any impropriety in our home. He was and is a good father."

'Sons of Guns', which had run since 2011, followed Hayden's running of his custom weapons business Red Jacket Firearms with the help of daughter Stephanie. The show's entire web presence, including website and social media feeds, have been removed entirely since news of Hayden's charge.

A post on the company's Facebook page on Tuesday read: "Today, Red Jacket Firearms has received complete legal separation as an entity, from Will Hayden. We will continue to operate, although with heavy hearts and promise to do everything in our power to fill customer orders, back orders and provide support to those affected by these new developments."
