The Frozen attractions will replace Maelstrom in the Norway Pavilion section of the Epcot theme park, as MTV reports. The new attractions promise to "immerse [guests] in many of their favourite moments and music from the film."Although details are sketchy, there will reportedly be a "royal greeting area" where visitors can formally meet their favourite characters.

Frozen themed shows are already present at Disney World including Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!, a show in which visitors can sing to Frozen songs with Anna and Elsa. A post on the Disney World blog promised the show's run will be extended and alluded to other aspects of the new Frozen themed area including 'a larger play area with real snow (in Florida!)'

Frozen was a critical and commercial success when it was released last year. Based on Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen, the film follows Anna (Kristen Bell) as she attempts to find her magical sister Elsa (Idina Menzel) and return her to rule the kingdom. Other actors who lent their voice to the project include Jonathan Groff (Glee), Josh Gad (Love and Other Drugs), Santino Fontana (Submissions Only), and Alan Tudyk (Suburgatory).

The film was certainly a money spinner, making an impressive $1,267,840,000 worldwide (IMDb). As CNN points out, it's a smart move for Disney to build on Frozen's success which is the highest grossing animated film of all time.
