Dizzee Rascal won't release his new album until he is completely satisfied with it.

The British rapper has yet to follow up his fourth record, 2009s 'Tongue N' Cheek', and although he hasn't even begun work on any tracks, he won't release it until it is perfect.

He explained: "I have no idea what my new album's gonna be like. To be honest I haven't even started it yet. I'm always experimenting though, like the last one was very pop, so this one will definitely be experimental too.

"I'm not worried though because my last album turned out very very well, probably because I was independent. It wasn't like the usual artist situation where the label is pressuring the artist to do it. I was the label so it was a really interesting time. As for the next one, we'll see. All I can say is it's gonna be good. It won't come out unless it's good."

Dizzee's sound has changed from the grime Roots of his first album to embrace more pop music and he says this is a sign of his changing personality.

He said: "My personality has mellowed to an extent but with me there ain't no value in not experimenting. At the time of my debut I was doing under 18 raves and stuff like that so my sound but then I started to do more festivals.

"More pop shows and stuff so you kinda wanna cater for that as well. I've still got the balance of everything though."

Dizzee Rascal this week launched the 'Your Britain' national photography competition alongside website Bing with a collection of his own images.

The competition offers a prize of £10,000, and a chance for the winner's image to be on the search engine's homepage. To enter visit www.bing.com
